Interesting discussion at @nesta_uk event on Govt's 10 year health plan on how they can deliver on prevention. @AdviceUK 's @Zubhaque asks the Minister for Public Health and Patient Safety why free, independent advice services do not have more sustainable funding when they are the front door of prevention for the public.

We're pleased to share that work is now under way on our £1.5m, seven-year Propel programme to transform London's advice sector workforce.
Building on three years of Propel delivery, which has seen more than 100 Learning to Advise qualifications and NVQs completed, the programme will now support the whole workforce journey: entry, progression, management and leadership. The first two years will focus on co-design and testing, working with the sector to understand its needs while making sure the legacy of our existing Propel work is carried forward.
Our aim is a workforce that is representative, sustainable and genuinely community-led, with community-led organisations owning their own workforce development infrastructure by the end. We'll share what we learn along the way, including what doesn't work.
More on how organisations can get involved will follow soon.
