@AmericanAir needs to be dismantled and sold for scrap, they are an abomination to a once great airline. I’ve been stranded I’ve Mexico when a storm delayed the flight and rather than re-book, they cancelled the flight and refused to refund my tickets. On another international trip on both the outbound and return legs, they failed to check in our group for the second flight so we had kids spread all over red-eye flights. Friends too have had massive problems with this airline, I will never fly them again.

This is a very intriguing option for a radio. Icom has had its satellite based radio on the Iridium system, but that was clunky. You had to set regions for it to listen for that specific radio. It also did not have traditional radio capabilities.

This is a big improvement, especially because it still has LMR capabilities for where satellite won’t reach, such as inside buildings.

It will be exciting to see how this develops.

Handheld radio, powered by Starlink...

L3Harris has unveiled the XL-300P, the first P25 land mobile radio with native 5G and satellite direct-to-device (D2D) connectivity.

It will support Starlink via T-Mobile's "T-Satellite" service, it guarantees first responders ultimate triple-layered redundancy (P25, cellular, satellite) so they never lose critical communications.

Our @SamaritansPurse DC-8 returned from its last mission to Jamaica and made its way to its final destination in Lynchburg, Virginia, after nearly 100,000 hours of work taking critical aid and serving countless people around the world in Jesus’ Name. The plane is being donated to @LibertyU where it will serve as an exhibit and a classroom for mission aviation students.

Hey @AmericanAir it’s not just my family that you screwed, there was another family with the exact same situation. You split up a family placing a very young girl all by herself. They too had an international flight that they checked in for with plenty of time.

There is an old pilot saying “if you have to get there, don’t go by air”. That was originally a safety mantra, but it really is true here too.

We do everything by the book. We arrived before the check-in gate opened. Do not assume I don’t know how to travel when your system is broken. I fly internationally multiple times a year, but will never fly @AmericanAir again. You cancelled yesterdays flight and now are causing us to be delayed to yet another later flight because I will not place my young daughters with strangers. It’s not safe and you know it.

Alright @AmericanAir you’ve lost my family and me forever. Your system is broken from the inside out. Your system does not recognize that somebody checks in for a domestic flight when you start with an international flight, and the same is true for the opposite. Twice now you’ve told my family that we’re on standby when we checked in on time, and had prior flights with your airline.

At this point, save the brand by shuttering the entire business and sell off the name to somebody who cares.

This mismanagement of an American icon is pitiful.

Bad news makes headlines, but good news deserves to be spread with even more vigor.

@AmericanAir came through and was able to get my entire family together on a flight. It’s a stat in restoring my belief in them.

I do truly want American to succeed, but sometimes recovery is only possible through the clear realization of problems.

@AmericanAir your once great airline is a bare shell of the greatness you once were. On the second leg of an international flight you decided randomly that our family was short a seat for no good reason. The claim was we “checked in late” but we had checked in exactly 24 hours before our first flight. This separated a family with young kids, placing my kids with strangers for an overnight flight. Not cool.

Then you cancelled our international return home with no reason whatsoever. Costing us greatly.

What a horrible representation of the American name.

This was the redemption trip for you, the last time I flew @AmericanAir from Loreto, you cancelled our flight due to weather but made no effort to help us find new flights home. You simply said that the flights were cancelled and no refund would be issued. We had to buy new tickets on a competitive airline at our cost.

I’m not expecting or requesting anything from my rant, other than to help upper management understand that @AmericanAir has a big problem and is bleeding frequent travelers. Maybe this is why your financials are trailing @Delta so significantly.

Close but not entirely true. If the US government would let us business move forward and build things without insane overregulation, we would once again outperform the world.

When was the last time the government let a utility add a new power generation facility?
