Lots of talk now about Cid (and they’re right) but for me it’s particularly hard to reconcile Vincent’s character. ReTril Vinny is NOT the same. He’s comic relief now, whereas OG Vin was tortured and anguished. I really hope Revelation will give us some of the old Vin back.

Hamaguchi completing 40 playthroughs says absolutely nothing about the length of the game, y’all. He’s not sitting through every cutscene and devs have cheats and backdoors that they use to speed through sections. He’s not playing like a player, he’s playing like a dev.

Re: the stupid discourse comparing the Cloti kiss to Sey/Yun: Tifa didn’t coerce Cloud. If C didn’t want to kiss T, he wouldn’t. He has zero problems rejecting Aerith’s advances so we know he’s capable of standing on business. He would’ve shrugged her off if he wasn’t feeling it.

@nocosttooblue Brother, Cloud is capable of saying no when he doesn’t want to do something. He kissed her because he wanted to, and to assure her that their feelings matched. What kind of scumbag protagonist plays with a girl’s feelings just because his “first option” is unavailable? Not in FF.

This fandom specializes in completely forgetting how storytelling works to make stupid claims for the sake of shipping. The Gongaga reactor scene was a moment of heightened drama in the story which was swiftly RESOLVED in a way that brought CT CLOSER TOGETHER. Simmer down.
