Watch as House GOP Appropriations Chair David Livingston, under questioning from Democrats this week, says he hopes to make massive cuts to programs for developmentally disabled children (and other vital services that use federal funds). His reason: He expects Trump to cut aid to Arizona by billions. He and Rep. Justin Olson liken it the billions cut from the AZ budget in 2011. That was during the Great Recession! If Trump does this, it’s sabotage by choice not necessity. He has inherited a strong and growing economy that can sustain programs for our most vulnerable.

The culture of a school is created by everyone in the school. Walk in a school and see how the front office staff talks and interacts or the staff /teachers in the hallway. Yes the admin influences it but everyone is ultimately responsible for a positive school culture.

I wish politicians understood that education is built on the countless unpaid hours of administrators, teachers, and staff who give of themselves wholeheartedly to ensure the growth and development of our future generation. Without their dedication and sacrifice, the foundation of our society's progress would crumble. It's imperative for politicians to recognize and support these difference makers, valuing their contributions and investing in their well-being and resources. Only then can we truly uplift and empower our educational system for the betterment of all.

Today we announced major indictments in the ESA program. This program is ripe for abuse, and the Legislature needs to design a better program.

Admin, it may be extra work, but check on your staff individually. Group check-ins are good,but the ones really struggling may not want to speak up in a group setting. Teachers, also check on each other, especially if you know someone is having a tough time. Everyone is exhausted

Doctor's don't get paid based on the success of their patients, but they get paid for their expertise and experience, as a professional should. Teachers should also get paid for their expertise and experience, as a professional should.
