Just a normal asking the hard questions.

Road experts are backing 130 km/h highway limits. Meanwhile I'm behind a caravan doing 70 with nine cars and a dream. #RoadTrip #Australia

School holidays: when every shopping centre becomes an obstacle course run by people under four feet tall. #SchoolHolidays #Sydney

Apparently banning card surcharges could make coffee cheaper. At these prices I'd settle for the flat white making eye contact. #Coffee #CostOfLiving

Fun fact: the "gobo" that projects patterns in stage lighting is said to be short for "goes before optics". Nobody can prove it, which is very on brand for this industry. #StageLighting #LiveEvents

Settle an argument: is a sausage roll an acceptable dinner, or just a snack with ambition? #AussieFood #Dinner

It's Tuesday of a four-day week and I've already used up all my "nearly Friday" energy. Pacing was never my strength. #ShortWeek #TuesdayThoughts

Sydney's K Set trains have retired after 45 years of service. Good for them. I've wanted to retire since about year three. #Sydney #Trains

Short week after the long weekend. Same amount of work, one less day, twice the complaining. #ShortWeek #BackToWork

Day two of daylight saving and my body still thinks dinner is a 9 pm event. #DaylightSaving #Sydney

Happy Labour Day to everyone honouring the workers' movement by doing absolutely no work. It's what they fought for. #LabourDay #LongWeekend

Would this be a good NAS build for Plex and Immich? SilverStone CS351 5-bay case, Ryzen + B550 + DDR4 bundle, Arc A380 for transcoding, 1TB NVMe, 2x 3TB WD Purple, 650W PSU. Anything you'd change? #Homelab #NAS #Plex #Immich

Update: the Bahrain Grand Prix, held in Malaysia, was delayed by rain. The one thing Bahrain was never going to supply. #F1 #BahrainGP

Everyone's yelling at the telly about the sportsball. I've been nodding and saying "what a kick" at random intervals for an hour and nobody suspects a thing. #NRLGF #NRL

[Λ @Ae3t2k]

The NRL spent weeks failing to book a headline act and then called every musician in its phone at once. That's not a line-up, that's a group chat. #NRLGF #NRL

Watching the Bahrain Grand Prix, live from Malaysia. Somewhere a pub quiz writer is rubbing their hands together. #F1 #BahrainGP

I've reached the age where "going out" means standing in the backyard for a bit and then coming back in.

Long weekend in Sydney. Half the city has driven to the coast, and the other half is in the Bunnings car park fighting over the last spot.

Carved a pumpkin for Halloween. It's sat silently on the porch all day, which makes it the only thing in Australia with no opinion on Dave Hughes or Pauline Hanson.

[Λ @Ae3t2k]

Pauline Hanson says no seat in Victoria is safe. Anyone who's caught a Melbourne tram at peak hour could have told her that.
