I vårt projekt på Arlanda XPO uppmättes initialt 60 CFU/L Legionella spp. i en provpunkt. Efter installation och uppföljande analys visade samtliga mätpunkter nivåer under laboratoriets detektionsgräns (<10 CFU/L). ATP-mätningar visade också en tydlig minskning av biologisk aktivitet i systemet.

Successful Installation in Sollentuna

AEGIR Impulse Pro systems has now been installed on both the domestic cold water and hot water circulation (HWC) systems as a preventive measure to help reduce the risk of Legionella, control biofilm growth, and improve overall water quality.

The installation was completed in approximately one hour, demonstrating how quickly and efficiently AEGIR Impulse technology can be deployed in both new and existing facilities with minimal disruption.

This property, consisting of 250 apartments in Sollentuna, is another example of how AEGIR Impulse helps property owners take proactive control of their water systems while improving water hygiene and operational reliability.

AEGIR Impulse is now installed in the industrial facility in Ersmark, northern Sweden.

This marks the beginning of a 4-stage project where an older property with a long operational history is being restored and optimized instead of replaced.

The facility, covering approximately 22,000 m², has heating systems that have been running continuously for many years. Over time, this has led to deposits, magnetite buildup, and internal losses that reduce overall efficiency.

With the first stage now completed, we have initiated the cleaning and recovery process.

By combining AEGIR IMPULSE SYSTEM with TTM FiltrX C450, we address the problem at its core. The impulse technology breaks down internal deposits, while the filtration system ensures that magnetite and particles are effectively removed from the system.

Project objectives:
• Clean the system internally
• Improve heat transfer
• Reduce stress on components
• Protect the infrastructure long-term
• Achieve at least 10% reduction in energy consumption

This is a practical example of how existing industrial systems can be optimized without extensive reconstruction or high capital expenditure.

“AEGIR Impulse Performance in Sewage Pipelines. Biofilm Removal and Corrosion Control”

This demonstration shows the real-world performance of the AEGIR Impulse system in a sewage pipeline environment. These systems are among the most challenging due to high bacterial activity, aggressive wastewater, biofilm formation, and heavy corrosion-related deposits.

Before treatment, the pipeline surface is heavily covered with biofilm, corrosion, and accumulated deposits built up over time.

After AEGIR Impulse treatment, the difference is clearly visible. When water hits the surface, nanobubbles generated by the impulse system actively detach and remove existing biofilm. Corrosion processes are stopped, and further corrosion is prevented. The pipeline surface becomes clean and stable without the use of chemicals or mechanical cleaning.

The results show that AEGIR Impulse delivers a strong and lasting effect in sewage systems where conventional methods often fail, providing both immediate cleaning and long-term protection against biofilm growth and corrosion.

Why removing oxygen isn’t always the solution in closed-loop systems

Many building owners and facility management companies install degassers in heating and cooling loops to strip oxygen from the water. The idea is simple: less oxygen = less corrosion.

But in reality, the story is more complex.

🔹 What happens when oxygen is removed?
Biofilms don’t disappear — they adapt. Instead of broad layers, they form tighter colonies that attack the pipe wall in small, concentrated spots. This is known as pitting corrosion.

🔹 Why pitting is worse
Unlike uniform corrosion, which slowly thins the whole pipe, pitting digs deep, needle-like holes. These can suddenly break through and cause leaks or failures, often without warning.

🔹 A smarter way forward
Nanobubble technology offers a different path. By creating highly stable oxygen nanobubbles, you don’t remove oxygen entirely — you balance it. Nanobubbles disrupt biofilm formation, improve water quality, and protect metal surfaces from aggressive localized attack.
