AEI 15-28 Shottery. Very good game from two very different teams. Paul Downes as man of the match. After 20 years of playing for us, it’s came his time to retire. Stay safe Paul.
Congrats to our injured player who definitely isn’t playing this season and now appears to be the face of the rugby lions. We’re onto you Chris Richardson.
Belated Match outcome from the 11 September
Aei 36- 12 Daventry 3rds. Good friendly fixture for the preseason. Thank you to Daventry for letting us get used to contact again!
@andymurphy@RugbyPass@chrisjonespress Also I’m looking at this purely from a merit team point of view, and also as someone who has history with the way the American sport system functions. I’d hate to see us going down that route more thoroughly. I think it would be the end of casual teams.
@andymurphy@RugbyPass@chrisjonespress If the system were looking to emulate doesn’t have an amateur level setup, then it’s likely going to have an effect on our lower leagues. In America it’s either get drafted or leave the sport, I’m worried that it will have a similar effect here. (May well not be a founded worry!)
AEI 7-22 St Andrews.
Choppy hard fought game of rugby, with several missed passes, and spooned kicks! This will happen when you play in a hurricane!
Thanks to @StAndrewsRFC for the venue as GEC park was unavailable.
Man of the match - Dylan West
Dick of the day - Gareth Bott.
AEI 34-24 Cov Saracens some outstanding runs from the backs, and forward pressure broke the Saracens in the second half.
MOM -AEI Front Row DOTD - Lee Haggan for being a cheating bugger.
