"what do you remember of the first time you went to ferrari?"
๐๏ธ: i was with jules bianchi. i don't remember where he picked me up from, probably at some go-kart track in italy for some testing, and he had to go to the ferrari simulator before returning home to france. knowing that jules would be in the simulator for something like four hours, i was convinced they would let me into the factory, but that wasn't the case. at the entrance they told me that, since i didn't have permits, i couldn't go in, so i ended up staying outside to watch what was happening inside those gates. i watched the people coming in and imagined a world i didn't know, dreaming of one day being part of it. when he left, jules told me: "work hard and one day you will make it."

"the nickname "predestinato" came from chats with Gianlu, back in the day, when his eyes would light up when he talked about this kid he didn't know yet, who came from karting, and he'd say, "him yes..." and from there it stuck with me. predestinato means achieving something important, achieving a career as a driver, reaching ferrari, achieving victory with ferrari. do you feel like it's a burden, wanting to win the championship, or do you feel like this "predestinato" has already achieved things that were predestined?
๐: it's true that it's a word that has stuck with me, and it's certainly a very positive word, so i'm happy to hear it. it's not something that puts pressure on me, because when you become a ferrari driver, you have the responsibility to take this team as high as possible, so my focus every day is trying to take this team to the top. it's especially important for me, because as i've always said, i love this team, but more than the love i have for the team, i believe in it, and i truly believe in it and i care about it, and so it's my number one priority. after that, everything that's around... it's important when you arrive at ferrari, and i've learned this perhaps with a few years in the team, to disconnect a bit from the noise around the team, because it's important to be objective, and that, yes, remains a priority for me.

"the italian anthem moves me every time i sing it. i learned it the day i signed with ferrari in 2018. i learned the italian anthem on the way back from maranello because when i had the opportunity, i would be able to sing it."
โi think itโs all down to passion, being respectful, and being kind. Itโs kind of obvious, but itโs something that i think people tend to forget sometimesโฆ these are probably the three values that are most important to me, and that i hope to be remembered for, on top of, i hope, many world championships of courseโ
โi kind of grew up in italy because all the karting races back when i was a kid were in italy, so i grew up with the italian people and the italian culture around me, and thatโs a country where i feel home,. i also grew up being a tifoso myself, and to now being the ferrari driver and having all the tifosi cheering for us being in the carโฆ to see also the kids that are watching me the same way i was watching the ferrari drivers back then is a very special experience, something that iโm very grateful forโ
On this day, two years ago, โIl Predestinatoโ conquered Monza once again, taking his second #ItalianGP victory in his career in front of the Tifosi ๐ฎ๐น๐
