Day 2 in the books. Led a panel on the North American Great Commission Report focused on secularization and Gen Z. Also go to facilitate the Collaboration on Digital Church, awesome to see leaders across the world sorting through challenges and potential together.
First day for L4 in the books. Great to see old friends and to explore Korea but this worship set will be a lasting impression. Over 5K leaders from around the world but it felt like 50K. A great way to be reminded of the immensity of God’s Kingdom.
Made it to L4 in Seoul. Excited to connect with old friends, hear what God is doing around the globe, and develop strategy for the next generation of Kingdom ministry.
“… there’s no such thing as clouds. There’s no such thing as milk. There’s no such thing as the color purple-” he continued before they quickly cut his microphone.
@R_Denhollander I had this surgery in 2019 and I have 2 points: 1) Spring for the ice water pump if you can, it was a life saver. 2) Invest in a good wedge pillow; sleeping with just pillows to prop up was a nightmare.
Also, have grace for yourself in the pace of your recovery. It can be slow
Today we hugged Chris for the last time and said goodbye as he went to give four people the gift of life by donating his kidneys, liver and lungs. We are deeply broken and deeply proud. In life and in death, Chris never stopped giving. We walk forward with his light guiding us.
I understand what Moore means and I likely agree with his intention. Yet the problem with superficial ambiguity in this venue is it invites the audience to populate the beliefs and actions that constitute “un-Christian.”
As a result, I’m unsure what this actually accomplishes.
Asked about a sentiment that Christians are “hated” in modern-day America, @drmoore says, “I believe often we are hated not for how Christian we are, but for how un-Christian we are, and that, I think, is something that we have to reclaim.” #TAF23
Todd is one of the best thinkers on digital mission and his work is already making a significant impact for churches and ministry leaders. I’m really looking forward to diving into some of his research.

@IVMiles Kimball is such a fascinating religious figure. Even apart from the Moody connection he’s an interesting example of post-war northern Protestantism.
It is we great sadness that we announce the passing of Rodion Amirov. Two years ago, Rodion was diagnosed with a brain tumour. From the moment he received the news, he refused to speak in the negative, determined to enjoy every day, facing it with the same positive attitude he showed during his hockey career. We will always remember his courage, his desire, his will, his smile, all of the great things about him. We’d like to thank his doctors, who took great care of him. We’d like to thank the Toronto Maple Leafs and his KHL - Salavat Yulayev Ufa team. Both did everything possible to help in any way, do whatever was necessary for Rodion and the Amirov family. And we’d like to thank hockey fans all over the world who sent notes of encouragement and best wishes over the past two years. They meant so much to the Amirov family.
Tarring winsomeness in Christian mission as a veil for “getting people to like you” has to be one of dumbest and self-destructive critiques that continues to get play.
Thankful for these parents praying and reading scripture over their kids and the faculty/staff of @WheatonCollege. A powerful model of faithfulness and a reminder of the treasure with which we’ve been entrusted.
