@foundmyfitness@BioLayne Agreed that a spiking LDL level is a concern. I would love to know about the ApoB level as well however. @foundmyfitness@BioLayne . I doubt anyone would argue that such high LDLs should be ignored, but it would be an interesting data point to see if the ApoB trends the same way!
What's wrong with "whole grain" pasta and bread? While it's better than the traditional versions, most still have moderate to high glycemic index (e.g. can lead to spiking blood sugar levels) and are high in calories relative to their nutrient density.
Carbs get a bad rap. I want you to eat all the carbs you want, and I promise you’ll feel better than ever. Yes I’m serious. But here’s the catch…
I don’t mean basic, starchy carbs like bread, pasta, or even “whole grain” versions of these (see comments for why).
So, go carb crazy, just make sure you’re picking the right ones!
What is you guilty pleasure carb? Got any good recipes for the leafy greens mentioned above? Share it in the comments below.
I am referring to kale, spinach, Swiss Chard, arugula, Bok Choy and other green leafy vegetables. These ARE carbs but they are packed with vitamins, nutrients, and fiber (which helps moderate glucose levels as well keeping you feeling full and promoting gut health).
So this weekend, if you can, GET SOME SUNLIGHT! And follow me for more tips on how to live not just a long, but also healthy and high performing life!

This weekend, in order to lower my Alzheimer’s risk🧠, I plan to…
Get some sunlight☀️! Yup, you read that right. Studies show that Vitamin D deficiency “substantially” increases your risk of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
So how do you know if you’re getting enough Vitamin D (and sunlight)?
Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be a guessing game🔬. Working with a longevity physician can give you exact guidance on your own Vitamin D levels and needs.
Additionally, Vitamin D is know play a role in your immune system, and even impact mood and other diseases.
Is sunlight enough? Few of us get enough sunlight, and how much you need caries based on intensity, consistency, and skin tone.
👉mTOR - Mammalian Target of Rapamycin is an enzyme involved in, amongst many things, influencing whether your cells are in replication mode…or not. When it is suppressed (from exercise, hunger, and other factors), your cells go into repair mode, including DNA repair.
Slow down your biological aging… by getting stressed out?!
Contrary to the harmful stress of daily life, there is such a thing as beneficial stress. Physiological stress, like hunger and physical exertion, has evolved to fortify our bodies.
Our modern world of constant abundance🍔🍕🌮 disrupts these natural cycles of stress and recovery.
Our bodies need this physiological stress to initiate internal repair mechanisms, leading to healthier cells and a healthier body.
This type of stress suppresses mTOR (see below) and shifts our cells into preservation mode at the cellular level.
Instead of continuous replication, cells focus on repairing their DNA🧬 and other cellular components, preparing to thrive again when conditions improve.
Curious about how to alter your biological age? Drop your ideas below.
Follow me and stay tuned for tomorrow's post where I’ll dive into ways to slow down—or even speed up—your aging clock!

Did you know that feeling young at heart might reflect your biological age, not just your mindset?
What's biological age🧬, you ask? While the calendar shows your chronological age🗓️, certain elements of your DNA reveal your body's true age.
Are you 38 but biologically 42? Or perhaps 60 but your cells say 50?
And what's more, we can tell how fast your clock is ticking too!
Why do you care? Because you can do something about it!
Longevity medicine, much like retirement savings, is about investing in your health early and often. If you save money to help ensure the financial well-being of your children, isn’t it also worth investing in their nutrition to ensure their health future?
Prepackaged meals for kids, the best thing since sliced bread!
74% of max daily lead limit!
Lunchables, a household and even public school name in quick meal options for children, never deceived anyone as being a truly healthy option.
I suspect you wouldn’t be comfortable feeding them lead, boatloads of salt, and pieces of plastic known to destroy their hormone regulation systems.
This is to say nothing of the low value protein, preservatives, and highly processed carbohydrates they are packed with.
The newest evidence suggests it’s even worse than we thought. Literally filled with lead, salts, and phthalates (used to make plastic more flexible), this is sadly almost the same as directly feeding poison to kids.
