The purpose of love is not to find someone who loves you. The purpose of love is to find someone who believes in you. So that you can believe in yourself because the problem is we don't believe in ourselves.
A reminder from Atomic Habits by James Clear:
“All big things come from small beginnings. The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision. But as that decision is repeated, a habit sprouts and grows stronger. Roots entrench themselves and branches grow. The task of breaking a bad habit is like uprooting a powerful oak within us. And the task of building a good habit is like cultivating a delicate flower one day at a time.”
i asked my grandpa what the secret to a long life was. He said, "Having at least one person who's genuinely happy to see you come home." I've never forgotten that answer.
You don't need to move the mountain today.
Just move a few stones. Today. Everyday.
Eventually, you’ll look back and realize the mountain is gone..
And you have achieved what you once thought was impossible.
