Rishi Sunak suggesting artists become adaptable and do other jobs, shows how out of touch he is.
We’ve always had multiple jobs. We’ve always extended our skills to other work. We’ve always felt the weight of not earning enough. Because the Tories never supported what we do.
Kudos to the students who’ve spoke up about this guy, I hope they get some justice and peace. The ballet world needs step up and take proactive steps to eradicate this kind of abuse of power.

A woman who says she was groomed by the ex-vice principal of one of the UK’s most prestigious ballet schools has told ITV News she felt there was nowhere for her to complain

🗣 I’m currently working on a short film about tokenism within the ballet industry and would love to talk to any black British female dancers with a background in ballet. We’re looking to workshop the script, so if you are interested pls DM me 🙏🏾🙏🏾

The extent to which language is weaponised is interesting. Last week it was ‘violence’ and protestors ‘antagonising’ the police for #BLM. This week there are ‘scuffles’. This is why newsrooms need greater diversity to guard against inherent biases that come through language use.
@julie_a_olson There is only one word for him and it begins with C and rhymes with runt. I would say I have no idea as to how he even made it into office but after seeing peoples opinions on the BLM movement in the UK, it’s clear that the racist apple doesn’t fall far from the racist tree 🙄
Thank you to my fellow uni graduate for the first post, she really hit the nail on the head with frustrations I too have felt about the dance world. The second one is my own thoughts...
Seeing as how the British Transport Police have dropped the inquiry, please sign the petition to support the family and help raise awareness of PPE for key workers

Ask yourself why people feel this way rather than demanding they respect an establishment they actively distrust due to the judicial system being still deeply rooted in institutional racism.
Whether it’s disproportionate stop and searches or shoddy police work investigating.....
Very sad to see.
This is the same police that keeps you and your family safe. The ones that run towards danger when you runaway.
Show some goddamn respect.
...crime perpetrated against black people, or just straight up dropping inquests into black deaths, there is a problem there. Investigate it and do better rather than demand respect from people who don’t owe you any.
Today will be difficult for everyone in Greater Manchester.
But we all know that every day since 22/5/2017 has been difficult for the families of those we lost and those injured.
We think about you and will be always be there for you.
