Sui was sold at a $1 billion FDV and reached a $20 billion FDV on its first day.
Monad will be sold at a $2.5 billion FDV, what FDV could it reach on the first day?
The selling pressure on Sui came mainly from the community that received tokens at extremely low prices.
The same dynamic will likely apply to Monad’s airdrop recipients.
For Sui, the public sale tokens had limited unlocks, with most vested over a year.
In contrast, Monad’s tokens will be fully unlocked from day one creating potentially higher selling pressure.
However, there’s a key difference
Monad will distribute zero tokens to Binance or any centralized exchange, unlike Sui, which gave large allocations to Binance Launchpool, Bybit, and others, a major source of early sell pressure.
Also, Sui launched during a bear market, while Monad will launch at the end of the bull market cycle, a much more favorable environment.
From a tech perspective, Monad is more decentralized, EVM-compatible, and liquidity entry is much easier compared to Sui.
Moreover, Sui launched with only a few ecosystem projects, while Monad already has a well organized ecosystem and incentive programs ready from day one.
Logically, with all these factors combined, Monad’s price should perform better than Sui’s, I’d expect it to easily exceed $0.20 on the first day.
