Unsurprisingly, Eritrea rejects Israel’s recognition of Somaliland, likely based on geopolitical alliances against Ethiopia. Eritrea knows that the history and justification as articulated by Somaliland is very similar as to what Eritrea based its own legitimacy for independence.

@JekapOmod No they didn’t, for Isaias it was gaining the control of Redsea and Ethiopian economy and for Meles it was a long term strategy of a greater Tigray vision that incorporate Dankalia.

The vast majority of people in Dankalia resisted the separation until today.
