We are a collective of Lee Alum — LGBTQIA+ people and straight allies committed to protect current Lee students who are queer.
*Not a crisis resource.*
In 2021 we launched REAP to support LGBTQ+ students at religious colleges. We've produced research, filed a class-action lawsuit, and supported legal + organizing efforts. The reality is that these efforts require money–can you help us reach our $10K goal? https://t.co/my4SyLu8Xl
Some great things are being done to assist LGBTQ+ and Trans students at religious institutions all over the world. Please check some these out.

@AffirmingAlum for all my @LeeU queer alums and current students who need a safe space. 🌈
There are too many past & present #queerLEEbeloved students who have been victims of policies that continually fail to acknowledge that queer students are created in the image of God & do not need to repent for who God made us to be

@AffirmingAlum calls upon @LeeU to work with us to change current policies that discriminate against LGBTQIA+ students. We're here to work alongside you to make these changes, because we love Lee, and we want to see her flourish.

Trans student, Joie St. Hubert (@nonbinaryszn), has spoken publicly after being suspended by Lee University. The school is citing Hubert’s TikTok videos as the reason, but St. Hubert says he was targeted for addressing the school’s anti-LGTBQIA+ policies and culture.
Our takeaway: Lee University continues to create a hostile learning environment for LGBTQIA+ students, unduly targeting them and silencing dissent. Suspending Joie is one step in the university’s overall move towards dangerous fundamentalism.
Yesterday started off #BiWeek! 💖💜💙Here are some basic #bisexual-related definitions. Let me know if you have any questions. Have you heard of some of these words and/or definitions before? 1/2 #BiVisibility#BiVisibilityWeek#BiPrideMonth

AAC is not about this. We are here to hold Lee University accountable to protecting their students like they proclaim they do. These changes do not reflect the “loving” mission of @leeuniversity
