Want to save money in college and not add to your student loan? Don't drop any classes. If you fall behind, get help. 8:00 AM class? Too bad. Gut it out. Retaking a class almost always costs you a lot more money.

Most of the student loan debt is held by households with graduate degrees. Going back to grad school? Be mindful of the cost and where you want to go.

#College students shouldn't be cheap.... get the textbooks. You can rent them now for a lot less money. Bring the book to class. Let the professor see you have it. It's a big deal.

If possible, students should avoid having a car on campus. Find a job on, or just off campus. Also, make sure the #university has a decent public transport system.
