A report published by The Guardian has reinforced findings previously documented in several investigations, including reports by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, concerning the involvement of heavy equipment manufacturers in the demolition of infrastructure and residential buildings in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon.

According to the report, machinery produced by these companies was used in operations that contributed to the destruction of more than 46 villages in southern Lebanon, as well as the devastation of approximately 90 percent of buildings in the Gaza Strip, in a systematic campaign of destruction.

The report stated that the Israeli military employs civilian contractors to operate the equipment, compensating them based on the number of structures demolished.
