As we celebrate Olympic Day, we honour the athletes, coaches, and young dreamers who remind us that greatness begins with determination, exceptional self-discipline, and remarkable courage.
Today is a powerful reminder that every journey starts with a single step. We remain committed to creating opportunities for young people to embrace sport and physical activity, helping them develop confidence, perseverance, and realise their full potential.
May sport continue to empower our youth, strengthen our nation, and build bridges of friendship among people and countries around the world.

It is with profound joy that I convey warm wishes of Kuwait’s National Day marked on 25th February and Liberation Day marked on 26th February, to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, the Government and the brotherly people of Kuwait. These occasions remind us of the exemplary progress attained by the people of Kuwait and I wish them continued peace and prosperity.
I take this opportunity to reflect on the generous support and assistance extended through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development over the years towards the welfare and development of the people of the Maldives. Our development partnership based on trust and shared values holds immense potential to be further expanded for mutual benefits. I believe that with our enhanced cooperation and commitment, we will continue pursuing further gains for the people of both countries in the coming years.
