More supplies (technical vehicles?), appear to have arrived at the ENDF base in Asosa, Benishangul region of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 by late April 2026.

Three more suspicious IL-76 cargo flights departed the UAE today 🇦🇪 for East Africa:

All three flights originated from Al Reef Airbase in Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪 and headed to Ethiopia 🇪🇹.

A UAE-linked IL-76TD cargo aircraft was recently spotted at Bosaso Airport in Puntland, Somalia 🇸🇴.

Notably, the aircraft was parked inside a hangar rather than in the open, possibly to conceal its presence after Somalia terminated all security agreements with the UAE 🇦🇪.

A new burn scar was identified between 5 and 10 May near the runway at the RSF-operated Nyala Airport in South Darfur, Sudan 🇸🇩.

It is unclear whether it was caused by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) drone strike or by grass fires in the area.

Meanwhile, Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council leader and head of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) 🇸🇩, General Burhan, has arrived in Jeddah 🇸🇦, where he held talks with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

Pakistan 🇵🇰 has suspended a $1.5 billion agreement to supply weapons and aircraft to Sudan 🇸🇩 after Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 requested the deal be scrapped.

The decision follows advice from Western countries urging Riyadh to avoid involvement in proxy conflicts in Africa.

A large scorched area has been identified within the RSF-operated perimeter of Nyala Airport in Sudan’s South Darfur 🇸🇩 which appears to have formed recently between 12 and 15 April.

A smaller scorched area is also visible, likely the result of SAF airstrikes.

The RSF attempt to establish aircraft/drone drone shelters at Sudan’s 🇸🇩 Nyala Airport appears to have gone badly wrong.

Prepared excavation sites have been left abandoned and flooded, while a nearby CH-95 drone hangar has also been destroyed in SAF strikes.

A new flight operated by Batot Air’s Ilyushin Il-76TD (w\ reg. XT-ABG, callsign BTO4109) departed from Al Ain Airport in the UAE 🇦🇪 yesterday, heading towards East Africa, most likely bound for Ethiopia 🇪🇹 or Bosaso Airport in Somalia 🇸🇴.

Satellite imagery, cross-referenced with NASA FIRMS data, confirms a fire in a remote area of Northern Darfur, likely involving a truck on a smuggling route from south-east Libya 🇱🇾 to Sudan 🇸🇩 via Chad 🇹🇩.

It may have been caused by a drone strike on 9 or 10 April.

Trump admin imposed new sanctions on a network recruiting and deploying Colombian mercenaries 🇨🇴 to Sudan 🇸🇩, again overlooking the UAE’s 🇦🇪 role of origin.

The sanctions targeted two entities and three Colombians, including a former Colombian Army Special Forces colonel.
