When I was admitted into medical school, I thought I've hit generational wealth. I studied like my life depended on it so as to become a medical doctor. I denied myself so much comfort and in the end, those sacrifices paid off. I became a doctor.

But the reality of a medical doctor is opposite of the hype.

You can never be rich if all you do is to care for the sick. The best you can be as a doctor is "average". At least you go see food chop.

While you're still in school sweating it out, your friends who did a 4-year course would have started earning. Some are buildingbusinesses. Some have made their first millions. You can't even boast of 100k in your account.

Being a doctor in Nigeria is definitely a very bad career choice.
