This past week has been an amazing week at @mtnharvestug as we welcomed important wins. Wins that announced Uganda on the global scene. We started with 1st and 3rd place in the African Taste of Harvest coffee competitions where we were recognized alongside our Ethiopian brothers (or should I say ahead of!), then our @African2child got second place in the Africa Barista Championship! Then we heard that the US Coffee Review had scored our coffee a remarkable 92 points! @CoffeeUganda @MAAIF_Uganda @fine_coffees

6 years ago our teams at @mtnharvestug would struggle to get good coffees to submit for the national quality competitions organized by @fine_coffees and @MAAIF_Uganda At that point we set to work on processing protocols to win competitions (yes we are super competitive!). 5 years down the road the problem is different - we struggle to select the best of the best and end up for paying for a second slot so that we can enter 10 coffees. This year 9 out of the 10 submitted coffees are national winners! I am super proud of the team at the lab, the processing stations and the farms we own.
