CENTRAGRID SOLAR PLANT POWERS ZIMBABWE WITH 25MW OF CLEAN ENERGY.
Located in Nyabira, Mashonaland West, the Centragrid Solar Power Plant is one of Zimbabwe’s key renewable energy projects.
🔹 Project started: 2014
🔹 Phase 1 completed: 2018 (2MW connected to the national grid)
🔹 Expansion launched: 2023
🔹 Expansion completed: 2024
🔹 Current generation capacity: 25MW
The plant supplies clean electricity to the national grid, helping improve power availability in Norton, Chinhoyi, Karoi, Bindura and surrounding areas while strengthening Zimbabwe’s energy security.
The project has also created jobs, stimulated local economic activity and demonstrated the role renewable energy can play in driving sustainable development and economic growth.
Centragrid is a strong example of how private sector investment is helping Zimbabwe expand electricity generation and transition towards cleaner energy sources.

Good roads mean better connectivity, easier movement of goods and services, improved business opportunities, and reduced road carnage. Under the leadership of @edmnangagwa , the Second Republic continues to deliver infrastructure that transforms lives and drives economic growth.
A durable road starts with a strong foundation.
On the Chivhu-Gutu Road 10 km rehabilitation project, base stabilisation works are now underway a critical stage that strengthens the road structure, improves durability, and ensures it can withstand heavy traffic for years to come.
The project, being championed by the Department of Roads, will enhance access to schools, hospitals, markets, and other social amenities while supporting economic growth, trade, and development. Brickbybrick, kilometrebykilometre, the Second Republic is building a modern and connected Zimbabwe for all.
WHEN NUMBERS HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TELL IT LIKE IT IS: No rocket science is required to explain why roughly 99 percent of the physical written submissions to Parliament on the Constitution (Amendment No. 3) H.B. 1 Bill, 2026, overwhelmingly backed the Bill. It is plain common sense: Zanu PF simply did what any serious political organisation does; it mobilised its physical grassroots structures, and those structures responded in massive, disciplined numbers.
By sharp contrast, Nelson Chamisa—the very politician opposition media have spent years branding as Zimbabwe’s most popular leader—chose not to mobilise his supporters at all. Instead, he actively dissuaded and demobilised them by declaring that Zimbabwe had “no constitution to talk about.” His elitist allies, meanwhile, relied on precisely the wrong tools: viral posts from big social-media accounts of celebrated influencers that racked up hundreds of thousands of views but never translated into a single physical written submission; outdated technology of emails; headline-chasing press conferences; and divisive pastoral letters.
All of these generated noise, but zero ground presence at Parliament.
So, those who are now pretending shock or clumsily alleging that the figures were “cooked”; should answer an unavoidable and simple question: exactly where did they imagine the mountain of opposing physical written submissions was supposed to come from? Social-media impressions do not walk into Parliament. Old-fashioned emails do not queue at the clerks’ offices. Hashtags do not sign written forms.
Politics is not a popularity contest judged by headlines, social media views or retweets; it is a contest of structures and ground organisation. Zanu PF has plentiful of those structures and used them with clinical effectiveness; as the numbers now prove beyond rational dispute. Everything else is mere psychodrama. Numbers, after all, do not lie!
The Government has intensified implementation of the National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy, with the Zimbabwe National AI Charter set to be launched within the next two weeks as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s digital transformation agenda.
GOVERNMENT has extended the winter wheat planting deadline to June 15 to ensure the achievement of this year’s target of 125 000 hectares, with over 100 000 hectares already planted nationwide.

As the Minister responsible for Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, I have come across videos showing the demolition of houses, and it is truly heartbreaking to see families crying in the streets after working so hard to provide shelter for their loved ones.
I am concerned that the full social and human impact of these actions may not have been adequately considered. Decisions of this nature have far-reaching consequences and can easily overshadow the tremendous work being done by our Government under the leadership of His Excellency, President Dr. Emmerson D. Mnangagwa. As leaders, we must always be mindful that our actions reflect on the broader vision and reputation of our leadership.
This is a sensitive matter, and at this stage, I am not fully informed of all the facts surrounding these demolitions. I will therefore engage the relevant authorities to better understand the circumstances involved and the processes that were followed.
I have also noted with concern the growing activities of land barons who illegally sell land and settle unsuspecting citizens on unapproved developments. These criminal elements are causing immense suffering to families and contributing to situations such as the one we are witnessing today. They must be identified, arrested, and brought to justice to protect innocent citizens from losing their hard-earned investments.
Regardless of political affiliation, the suffering of our people should concern us all. While the law must be respected and upheld, it must also be applied proactively and humanely. If developments are unlawful, intervention should take place before families invest their life savings and establish homes, not after they have settled and built their lives.
It is painful to witness such scenes. Our duty as leaders is to protect our citizens, uphold the law with fairness and compassion, and safeguard the good reputation of the leadership and Government we serve. Let us always put the welfare and dignity of our people at the centre of our decisions.
A VOTE OF THANKS….👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏾💍
Last Saturday was undoubtedly one of the most EMOTIONAL and MEMORABLE days of my life. Never in my WILDEST imagination did I think that I would find myself so OVERWHELMED with emotion simply by walking my baby sister, down the AISLE. What made the moment so emotional for both myself and GLENDOUR was the PAINFUL realization that our late mother was not there to WITNESS what would have been one of her PROUDEST moments of her life. I held back my TEARS knowing Mai NYARI / SISI CANI was definitely smiling on us up above from HEAVEN 🕊️
In our AFRICAN tradition and culture, a wedding is not truly a wedding until people have eaten GOOD FOOD, until their BELLIES are FULL and families have celebrated together DANCING the night away. What I witnessed on Saturday was indeed a WEDDING in every sense of the word. People ate, people celebrated, people laughed and people DANCED until late into the night. The décor was EXCEPTIONAL, the music was OUTSTANDING as we were SERANADED by timeless classics from great musicians such as the legendary KARIKOGA Leonard ZHAKATA and contemporary gospel music from Mathias Mhere. We were entertained by incredible dancers, and had the best MC of all time.
All I can say is THANK YOU, to everyone who made this day a SUCCESS, giving special mention especially to the SERVICE PROVIDERS.
More often than not, service providers are OVERLOOKED and at times UNDERPAID or SHORTCHANGED, as everyone tends to focus only on the Bride and Groom yet they spend months or weeks PLANNING for the wedding and PREPARING the decor etc. They are the first to wake up and some even SLEEP at the venue the night before yet they are the last to leave after CLEANING up the venue. Regrettably, they always get the LEAST recognition and paid a fraction of what they really DESERVE !!!
In recognition of the EXCEPTIONAL work put in by the various service providers at TENDAI and GLENDOR’s wedding, I was pleased to give each of them a SMALL TIP a total of US$323,000 as follows;
Maipa (MC) - USD20,000
Ishmael Tailor - USD20,000
Event Planner Tynvic - USD10,000
Ishmael Assistant - USD5k each x7 = USD35,000
Baba Kevy (MC) - USD10,000
Gilton videography - USD10,000
Gift photography - USD10,000
Dj Kimo - USD10,000
Prince Choreographer - USD10,000
Kuda the choreographer - USD10,000
Gracia Pabvute - USD10,000
Beyond Excellence Knowledge - USD10,000
Travellers band - USD10,000
Clyde Sound engineers - USD10,000
Karikoga Leonard Zhakata - USD50,000
Make up Artist Tsungi - USD10,000
Bridal Team x16 @3k each - USD48,000
Munyai Onismo - USD5,000
Munyai chief - USD5,000
Venue Decor - USD10,000
Mathias Mhere - USD10,000
Thank you all for making this day an INCREDIBLE one. A day that will remain INDELIBLE in our hearts.

Post-1980 rank means nothing” Marapira fires back at Muchena camp
Zanu PF Director of Information Farai Marapira has dismissed attempts by retired Air Marshal Henry Muchena and other former senior officials to position themselves as the voice of war veterans in the raging Constitutional Amendment No.3 debate, insisting the ruling party only recognises “properly constituted bodies” mandated to speak on behalf of liberation war fighters.
Marapira drew a sharp distinction between liberation war seniority and positions attained after Independence, arguing that military, civil service or political rank accumulated after 1980 does not translate into authority over war veterans inside Zanu PF or the liberation movement’s historical structures. “The seniority of war veterans is based on the pre-1980 liberation struggle,” he said, warning against what he described as the abuse of liberation history to manufacture representational authority.
While defending the constitutional right of individuals to express dissenting views, Marapira said Muchena and his group were speaking strictly in their personal capacities and not for the broader war veterans constituency. He maintained that Zanu PF’s officially recognised war veterans structures remain fully aligned behind Vision 2030, adding that no individual can “assume representational authority willy-nilly” over the liberation struggle and the sacrifices made during the war.
A political party of ZANUPF's stature is not a parliament of egos. It is a collective.
In any functional democratic movement, the will of the majority is not one opinion among many. It is the decision. Once the collective has spoken, the matter is settled. Those who argued otherwise in the room remain bound by what the room resolved. This is the line that separates a political party from a debating club.
ZANUPF is strong for one reason. Its cadres place collective resolve above personal preference. A member may hold a view, advance it, lose, and still carry the decision forward as his own. That is the architecture of power.
This is the test before RTD Air Marshal Henry Muchena. He is an elder. He served the nation in uniform and as a party Director. Precisely for that reason, more is asked of him, not less. Seniority is a duty to model discipline, not a licence to escape it. He cannot demand of others what he will not first demand of himself.
No man's judgment, however distinguished, may stand above the collective. The day a party bends its decisions to the prestige of one or two personalities, it stops being an institution and becomes a court of favourites. Rume rimwe harikombe churu.
Lead by example, Air Marshal. The collective will is not your rival. It is your strength. And ours.
The ZANU PF Commissariat through NPC Cde Machacha has made an unemotional and factual response to the statement attributed to retired Air Marshal Muchena and others.
Key points by the Commissariat:
1. The President in line with his noble leadership creed of engagement, dialogue and accessibility granted a meeting with the group.
2.Democracy is not expressed solely through direct election of the President. Parliamentary election of same is equally democratic.
3 The 1980 Election which ZANU PF themed Gore remasimba evanhu did not have a direct election of the President yet it was a democratic expression of the will of the people.
4.Parliamentary Election of the President is not a negation of the OMOV principle(One Man One One) since the people still retain the right to elect MPs who then elect the President in an internationally common hybrid model of representative democracy.
5.Parliament already has function to impeach the President. Conferring authority on Parliament to elect same aligns with the democratic principle he who appoints dis-appoints.
6.Everyone has right to express their opinion and the retired Air Marshall and his group are entitled to that right, however their opinions can not override others.
7. The President remains a constitutionalist who has not imposed his will on the people. CAB3 is coming from the people who want him to continue in office beyond 2028 because EDWORKS and EDELIVERS.
8. Whilst the minority must have their say, the majority must have their way. That democratic principle applies to CAB3 too.

When farmers have tractors, they can prepare land on time, plant within the optimal window & harvest before the rains spoil the crop. That translates to bigger harvests, lower prices for consumers, and more income for rural families. The Second Republic has made this a priority.
