Today, in partnership with national and county leadership, we inaugurated the Wakulima market WiFi hotspot in Nakuru Town, marking another step in our ambitious goal to establish 25,000 WiFi hotspots nationwide to facilitate e-commerce and achieving the Bottom Up Transformation agenda.

This initiative is designed to encourage e-commerce among traders in the market and improve their access to government services. We invite everyone to seize the opportunities provided by these hotspots to enhance their economic prospects.

In attendance during the event were Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara, Deputy Governor @HonDavidKones, Kenya Year Book CEO @naitosue Susan Naitore, KEPSA ICT Sector Board Chair @benliquidkenya among other key stakeholders in Nakuru region.

The ODPC has established its presence in Kisumu and Mombasa and in Huduma Centres in Nyeri, Garissa & Eldoret and is working on establishing offices across ten additional regions across the country.

Today @WWF_Kenya issued a grant of Ksh.13 Million to @NakuruWater (NAWASSCO), in Nakuru to restore the Kabatini aquifer, which provides 90% of the water supplied by NAWASSCO to over 300,000 Nakuru County residents. The grant will also support the rehabilitation of two springs in Nesuit that will boost access to clean water for 400 households in the county.🌊

@CEO_WWFKenya Mohamed Awer and Dr @OwekeOjwang – Freshwater Lead, WWF-Kenya presented the cheque to H.E @HonDavidKones, the Deputy Governor of @NakuruCountyGov

The initiative was made possible by the Catchment to Tap (C2T) project, which is funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands, aims at promoting water security across the country.

Together with other partners, namely World Waternet, Viten-Evides International, KEWASNET, and Egerton University, C2T is creating awareness among the public on water conservation while providing a unique opportunity for Kenyans through grants to act.
