@baba_nyenyedzi Vendors are city council inexcesses. Vending was there since time back then but council would provide vending space in an orderly fashion. The population is growing and MAFUME is not seeing this. These vendors are a keen sign of locals trying to become part of the economy.

Consultations are underway across the nation with the objective to get insights and feedback on the Draft National Economic Empowerment Policy. This week, a stakeholder consultative workshop for the Draft Economic Empowerment Policy is rounding up in Manicaland Province. In line with Vision 2030, the Government under the Second Republic is focusing on developing sustainable, inclusive, and transformative mechanisms that drive citizen empowerment, accelerate rural industrialisation, and reduce poverty. The President, His Excellency Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa is always on record, reminding us as public servants to make sure that when we craft policies as Government, we "leave no one and no place behind." The workshop in Manicaland has enabled the Ministry to gather vital insights from grassroots entrepreneurs, traders, and large enterprises. Manicaland Province has the potential to contribute significantly towards the growth of the national economy because of its abundant natural resources, unique landscapes that attract tourism and proximity to a key trade route.
