Suspect an overdose? Act fast. Call local emergency services, check breathing and follow their instructions.
If an opioid overdose may be involved, give naloxone if available.
Place an unresponsive but breathing person on their side. Stay until help arrives.

An overdose happens when the body cannot cope with the amount of a drug or combination of drugs in it. It can be fatal or non-fatal and can involve any drug.
Knowing the facts can save lives. Overdose is a health issue, not a moral failing.
