Putin has fired two of his top intelligence people. Apparently they gave him bad advice. They told him that invading Ukraine would be a walk in the park. They forgot to mention that it would be Jurassic Park.

Once again I failed to figure out some mechanical thing and my wife figured it out within a minute. My fall back position for my failing belief that men are the superior gender is that we have pockets and never lose track of our keys. Small consolation.

In Germany people are going to the train stations with signs that say "Room for two" or "family of four" or something else. Many of the signs are in English, the international language.

Boris Johnson was attacked in Question Time for not providing sufficient support for Ukrainian refugees. The next day someone created an app where people could offer to take in families. The first day, 400+ people signed up, each listing how many people they could accommodate.

The Senate has just passed a bill creating universal forever and ever daylight savings time. The vote was close to unanimous. The 300+ million Americans who have trouble figuring out how to change their clock twice a year thank you. The cows thank you. And now for the House.

Putin is not mentally ill. He is just like Saddam: He doesn't talk to anyone except himself.

Backup: Chechnya has sent 12,000 combat soldiers into Ukraine, and Belarus is preparing to invade as well. The Russian army is finding this harder than they thought. And NATO weapons are on the way.

Putin may get that which he hates: Ukraine in NATO. Had he negotiated, he might have gotten a neutralized Ukraine. The German Chancellor promised him that Ukraine would NOT be in NATO. That may be gone with the wind. Finland and Norway approached NATO for the first time.
