7th Circuit, Aug. 25: they dismissed the in-home possession count against a man who used AI to generate sexual images of children who do not exist.
They did not clear making it, moving it, or sending it to a kid. Those charges are still live.
The panel said they are bound by Stanley v. Georgia (1969) and Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition (2002). They also said AI can now make fake images nearly indistinguishable from real ones — and they are not free to redraw the Supreme Court’s line.
Old precedent. New machine. Ugly gap.

The people laid to rest at Arlington already gave this country more than any monument ever could. Their families deserve a place to grieve—not a tourist spectacle looming over the historic entrance to our nation’s military cemetery.

The official plans put this arch at Memorial Circle, in the corridor between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington. The government’s own planning record acknowledges that it will change historic views and alter access around the cemetery entrance.

This is not about party. It is about respect.

Arlington is hallowed ground. It is not a backdrop for anybody’s ego.

The fallen deserved better.

We agree that the E-4 with catastrophic combat injuries deserves full concurrent receipt. That is the case for a clean Star Act vote! Not for making future veterans the pay-for through Section 108. TCAVA is not law, and its own text starts payments in 2027 if enacted. Fight for both generations.

TCAVA is still stalled. The clean Major Richard Star Act discharge petition is at 217 signatures—one from 218.

The veterans coalition is divided: MOAA supports TCAVA; VFW opposes its proposed disability-benefit cuts; DAV supports priorities but opposes funding them through future-claim changes.

Give the Star Act a clean vote.

What supporting evidence you do know that there’s a direct linkage to PTSD and sleep apnea!? I’m not gonna go in circles with you and you can call whatever you wanna call it. There is more evidence based on what the effects it could have on the future veteran community and furthermore, how about in lieu of $57 billion!

Why is it when I’ve spoken to politicians, they actually didn’t know about the cut to sleep apnea and tinnitus? Or the impacts it could have on the future veteran community?

Fascinating it seems to be the approach of everybody who supports to take care of Americans veterans act is we’re screwing over so many people but yet you seem to forget the people that are currently serving right now! @JeremyRichard82 reports that Everton Blair (@evertonblairjr) has signed the Discharge Petition, bringing the total number to 216.

➡️Only two more signatures are required to bring the bill to the House floor for a vote!

➡️Maybe one more tomorrow?! Politico’s House Democrats reporter stated today that Dr. Aisha Wahab (@aishabbwahab) is scheduled to be sworn in around noon tomorrow.
