Battle-damaged KC-135? If this is actually a KC-135 returning from combat it is pretty impressive. The Air Force maintenance quick work of a massive task.

The AI machine has been in full swing when it comes to generating content for the conflict in the Middle East. Here we have a throwback to our skateboarding friend drinking cranberry juice, but this time it's down a desert road amongst surface-to-air missile systems.
Drones are changing the way warfare is being conducted. The conflict in Ukraine has shown us that over the last few years, and now the conflict in the Middle East with Iran is showing us yet again.
Drone warfare is closing the gap on actors being able to hit stragetic assets.
South Korea's KF-21, their indigenous twin-engine fighter, has entered full-scale production in 2024. This aircraft incorporates semi-stealth technology, with full stealth capabilities planned for later variants, showcasing significant advancements in South Korea military technology.
While some compared it to the F-35, the KF-21 represents a distinct development in the manufacturing process of advanced fighter jets.
Footage circulating online shows an A-10 Warthog conducting a gun run near Mosul in northern Iraq — allegedly from the 74th or 75th Fighter Squadron out of Moody Air Force Base in Georgia — targeting Iranian-backed Shia militia, most likely the Popular Mobilization Force.
Nine seconds of trigger time with the GAU-8 Avenger. To put that in perspective — the 30mm shell that cannon fires is roughly twice the diameter of the 20mm round in an F-16. And what's almost certainly loaded on the end of those rounds are high explosive incendiary shells. Essentially a bullet with a grenade built in.
Whatever that A-10 was pointing at is gone.
This is a reminder that while the headlines focus on B-2s and bunker busters, the A-10 is doing exactly what it was built to do — finding things close to the ground and making sure they stop working. General Caine confirmed the Warthog is now operating along Iran's southern flank targeting threats to the Strait of Hormuz.
New satellite imagery out of Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia tells a story the Pentagon briefings aren't leading with.
Before the Iranian ballistic missile strikes — roughly 15 aircraft on the ramp. A mix of C-130s and KC-135 tankers. After — a handful of planes remaining, clouds obscuring part of the frame, and at least one KC-135 that is now, in the most literal sense, a puddle on the concrete.
The planes still sitting on that ramp aren't there by choice. You don't leave KC-135s parked at a base that's been hit multiple times unless they can't fly out. Whether that means total losses or aircraft awaiting repair — either way, that's a significant hit to the tanker fleet supporting Operation Epic Fury.
