A Christian friend of mine sent me this picture of a footballer and asked, "Why do Muslim players do that every time they score a goal?
I called him on the phone to explain it, but I thought it would be wonderful to share the explanation with all of my friends here as well.
This specific act is known in Arabic as Sujud al-Shukr (the prostration of gratitude).
In this World Cup, you will observe that when Muslim players score a goal, some immediately run toward the corner flag to prostrate on the grass. Others join their teammates in celebration first, and once the hugs and cheers fade, they quietly drop to their knees to prostrate.
This celebration is not a modern innovation; it originates directly from the practice of Prophet Muhammad.
Authentic historical records show that whenever the Prophet received joyful news or experienced a sudden victory, he would immediately fall into prostration to express his deepest gratitude to Allah.
Today, this is an act that all Muslims are encouraged to practice in their daily lives whenever they receive good news or achieve a hard-fought success.
As a practicing Muslim, you perform exactly 34 prostrations every single day across the five mandatory daily prayers. That number increases if you choose to perform voluntary prayers.
However, there is a big difference between the daily prayers and the prostration of gratitude:
With the 5 daily prayers, you must perform ablution and you must face the Qiblah (the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca, which is generally east from our part of the world).
For the Sujud al-Shukr, because good news happens spontaneously, this prostration is done just once and is highly flexible. It can be performed immediately without ablution, and you do not necessarily have to face the Qiblah—which is very practical since one immediately spot the East after becoming happy..
Despite these differences, what is recited while the forehead touches the ground remains the same.
One humbles himself by reciting:"Subhana Rabbiyal A'la"(Glory be to my Lord, the Most High).
This act has become incredibly popular among Muslim footballers.
In recent history, the player who has done it most frequently is Mohamed Salah, not just when playing for Egypt, but regularly at the club level for Liverpool, which has helped popularize it globally.
Islam is a complete way of life.
May Allah give us the understanding to practice it well.
Aameen.

The war benefited Iran in at least one aspect: The overt attention given to Iran for the last 50 days has completely shattered the fabricated image that Israeli-affiliated media had crafted of the country for decades.
Many people have now realized that:
1- Iran is not run by mad apocalyptic “mullahs". Many Iranian officials are sophisticated technocrats, steeped in political science, literature, mathematics, international relations, and philosophy. They hold PhDs and strong academic credentials from renowned universities, and have actually authored books on Immanuel Kant, negotiations and governance. In fact, they are much more sophisticated than their Western counterparts. For one, none of them ever appeared on the Epstein list. That is precisely why they do not have to bend or bow before Israel or its network of lobbies.
2- The Iranian people are proud and patriotic. They are willing to risk their lives by forming human chains around bridges and critical infrastructure to protect their homeland. They have never welcomed, and will never welcome, foreign intervention. Neighboring countries were mistaken in assuming they would need to close their borders to manage an influx of refugees fleeing war from Iran. Not only did Iranians refuse to flee the war zone, but many living abroad actually returned home by land once the conflict began.
3- Iran is a resilient nation that has endured decades of illegal sanctions, sadistic “maximum pressure” campaigns, covert operations, and outright war. It stood tall, relied solely on itself, and built a formidable military, industrial, and scientific base. By contrast, countries with far stronger economies are already complaining about the economic fallout from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and are growing impatient. Iran withstood their sanctions for nearly fifty years, yet they cannot tolerate fifty days of reciprocal economic pressure. Hopefully this reality will force them to recognize the depravity of their past policies.
4- Iran is not a state sponsor of terrorism. Its only “sin” has been to be the sole country on Earth that has firmly, openly, and proudly stood up to Israeli apartheid and genocidal policies. That is the real source of all the demonization.
5- Iran did not squander money—or the brief proceeds from temporary sanctions relief—on destabilizing the region. It invested in infrastructure instead. The sheer number of hospitals, airports, petrochemical plants, railroads, bridges, ports, pharmaceutical factories, and universities targeted in the war reveals exactly where that money was spent.
6- Iran did not seek war. It pursued serious diplomacy, only to be betrayed on multiple occasions. The United States withdrew from the JCPOA and then attacked Iran twice while new negotiations were underway. All the smears claiming that Iran fails to honor its international commitments or is prone to lying and cheating are pure nonsense unsupported by empirical evidence.
7- Iran’s foreign policy is guided by values, principles, and national pride rather than materialist “cost-benefit” calculations. Understanding this is essential to reaching any genuine deal. Otherwise, within a narrow “cost-benefit” paradigm, Israeli experts and think tanks will continue to rush to portray Iran’s intentions as hostile—just as they have done for decades by relentlessly disseminating the falsehood that Iran is seeking to build nuclear weapons.
When Trump was in Berlin for his first state visit with Angela Merkel he asked the secret of her great success.
Merkel told him you have to have intelligent people around you.
"How do you know if someone is intelligent?" asked Trump.
"Let me demonstrate." She picked up the phone, called Wolfgang Schäuble and asked him a question, "Mr. Schäuble, he’s your father's son but not your brother. Who is it?"
Without hesitation Schäuble answered, “Quite simply, it's me!"
"You see," Merkel told Trump, "this is how I test a person’s intelligence."
Thrilled, when Trump flew home he called Mike Pence and asked him the same question. ”He’s your father's son, but is not your brother. Who is it?"
After much back and forth, Pence said,
“I have no idea, but I’ll try to find out the answer by tomorrow!"
Of course Pence couldn’t figure it out and decided to seek advice from former President Obama, so he called him and said, “Mr. Obama, it's your father's son, but is not your brother. Who is it?"
Obama answered, “Easy, it's me!"
Happy to have found the answer, Pence called Trump and said triumphantly, "I have the answer, it's Barack Obama!"
Trump raged and shouted, "No, you jackass, it's Wolfgang Schäuble!"
Zionists are systematically gunning down starving Palestinians at food distribution sites every day, but Western journalists are collectively conspiring to hide this from the world.
Western journalists are full partners in the Gaza Holocaust.
A quick video for #Israelis.
What is the narrative over there?
Over here everyone:
▪️Hates you & prays for your downfall.
▪️Sees the horrible atrocities committed by your Govt which are #WarCrimes.
▪️Looks at #IOF as a TERRORIST Organisation.
▪️Considers #Hamas as a RESISTANCE.
It’s so uncomfortable reading stuff like this and realizing that it’s true.

In the last 72 hours, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran when negotiations between Washington and Tehran were still ongoing.
Iran was caught off-guard. But Iran recovered more quickly from its Pearl Harbor moment than Israel expected.
In less than 18 hours after Israel’s surprise attack, Iran responded firing hundreds of ballistic missiles including hypersonic missiles into central Tel Aviv and across Israel.
Meanwhile, Israel's Iron Dome failed. Israeli intelligence failed. Now Netanyahu is pleading with Washington to intervene with American Military Power to rescue Israel from certain defeat; a defeat Netanyahu crafted with encouragement from Washington.
At the same time, Russia, China, Pakistan and most of the Muslim World are rallying to Iran’s defense.
Supplies, equipment and technical assistance are pouring into Iran.
It’s time for a reality check:
Washington burned through $12 trillion in the Middle East since 2003. Result? 7,000 dead Americans. 50,000 wounded, open borders and 100,000 Americans dying yearly from Fentanyl poisoning.
Today, the United States is $37 trillion in debt, a sum that does not include so-called “agency debt.” 77 million Americans voted for President Trump because he promised to end the overseas conflicts and halt the march to WW3.
Trump’s mandate is unchanged: Secure America’s borders, ports and coastal waters. Deport illegal aliens, crush the criminals r-ping and murdering Americans. Restore the rule of law. But not one more drop of American blood for foreign wars.
One Israeli strike on Kharg Island—where 90% of Iran's oil exports flow—or Bandar Abbas terminals, and Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz. That's 20% of global oil supply.
That means disrupted supply chains and runaway inflation. Gas hits $7/gallon overnight. Every working family crushed. Truckers can't deliver food. Economy crashes. For what? So Israel that started this insane war can drag Americans into a wider regional conflict with the potential for nuclear war?
We have 40,000 troops in UAE, Qatar, across the Persian Gulf. They are sitting ducks. Iranian Shahed-136 Drones cost $20,000 each. American Patriot Missiles cost $4 million per interceptor.
Do the math. We will run through our inventory of missiles and go broke while Americans come home in boxes.
The Middle East is on the brink. Here's what Washington must do to defuse conflict:
1. Ask for an Emergency UN Security Council meeting. Ask for an Immediate ceasefire making it clear that Washington opposes the destruction of Iran, Israel and any other state in the Middle East.
2. Demand that Israel stop the killing of Palestinians in Gaza and withdraw its forces from Gaza and the West Bank.
3. Suspend all military aid to Israel until Israel agrees to remove its troops from Gaza and permit humanitarian assistance to reach the people of Gaza.
4. Propose the commitment of Armed Forces from non-aligned nations to police Gaza and the West Bank. 5. Propose that the United States, Russia, China, India and Brazil convene a peace conference to arbitrate the dispute between Israel, Iran and Israel’s neighbors.
I led American Soldiers under fire into action. I've seen plenty of flag-draped coffins. I don’t want to see any more. Washington’s warmongers had 22 years. They failed. They lied.
They profited while America bled. Time's up.
America First means AMERICA FIRST. Not Israel first. Not Ukraine first. Not NATO first. AMERICA FIRST.
The activist Bisan Awdeh recorded a video from northern Gaza where an Israeli sniper was sitting and shooting Palestinians while enjoying drinking Coca-Cola at the same time.
Freed Palestinian prisoner Mohammed Abu Tawila, arrested by Israeli forces a year ago in Gaza, suffered severe torture, including burns from corrosive chemicals, causing blindness in his left eye and serious trauma.
