I’ve got the data from our farm. We utilized foliar N which allowed us to reduce soil N but allowed for the plant to continue to pump high level exudates and allowed for Weoc levels to build.
First time in my 7 years of pulling these soils I was above my Weoc goal

34K final ear count, in R4 and bulking hard. Been 5 days since foliar app & this corn is absolutely loving life. Got 45 days to get to finish line, and I’m loving where I’m at right now. Got tissues back yesterday and they confirmed what I saw visually! Next round go in tomorrow

Plant health is amazing Imo. No fungicide 3rd yr corn on corn. Keep nutrition high and the plant has the ability to withstand or hold off a lot of disease. Will run fungicide if need be, but scouting everyday right now no fungicide warranted, invest in nutrition as preventative
