Journalists should spend some time understanding how the world works. Your lack of cognisance is embarrassing Majid bhai.

He’s a chairman. His job is to know governance, constitute committees and hold the CEO accountable directly and indirectly. The CEO is responsible for the performance.

Apple’s chairman is Levinson. Levinson is a scientist and biotechnology executive. He’s basically got a Pharma background.

Chairman of Google’s parent company Alphabet is Hennessy. Hennessy is basically an academic leader. He was President of Stanford. Taught computer engineering and electrical engineering all his life. Never ran a large tech concern.

Chairman of Tesla is Denholm. Her background isn’t cars. It’s telecom equipment.

I hope you get the point. Please learn a bit before you opine on a subject. It’s a duty to yourself, to your readers and to truth.
