A database hit is not evidence. Every town buying these should hear her story before they hear the sales pitch.

@RepEricBurlison It stopped being hypothetical this week: an affidavit showed one officer ran his wife's plate 717 times, and an innocent woman spent two weeks in jail on a bad camera match.

The database doesn't need a lockdown to be abused.
It just needs to exist.

Remember when everyone was told Flock was “just reading license plates”?

Anyway, here’s Flock Alpha, the autonomous drone.

It only flies 60 mph, launches itself, streams thermal video, can be flown from a cops phone and reads your license plate from 2,000 feet. Good stuff.
