Everyone has this question.
Why do we need to make our own Flight Controllers.
Or in general why do we have to make anything.
Use the below reason.

Brag all you want,
Your company still has the same problems that need to be resolved.
And investors don't care until your numbers are solid.
Your team still expects you to be there and support them.
PS: I wanted to post it separately, but it applies to myself. So it be.
I am busy building @AgamRobotics that I am not even aware of what is happening in the AI domain.
I don't have FOMO as well and am not bothered about the development because I know what we build is going to last beyond AI.
If we ever have to get into AI+Drones, it's going to go bonkers for sure. The hardware integration with AI will be insane.
It's finally here!
What you see in the video below is the full drone with all our avionics designed and manufactured in India.
This was to be our AgamFrame7 launch but due to editing delays, we had to launch and showcase it.
Thanks to @CircuitDigest for covering @AgamRobotics

Just a note that I had officially quit my job from the US company in 2022 and returned with a single ticket back to India, but they had asked me to continue supporting them remotely. I built Agam Robotics in parallel to that as I had already planned to do the same in 2020 and it was manifesting since 2011.
I was able to monetize my skills and services as a consultant while being a single founder building @AgamRobotics.
But even while I was doing double work, I had good amount of time in showcasing my work progress. Since when we started to scale, it's been a very hectic and time consuming process.
I wanted to tell all of you that, prototyping and building a single product is one thing, but scaling that is a whole another complicated thing!
It's more like doing 10 jobs at a time.
Especially at times like these where there's more uncertainty in the supply chain, it's even more harder. Securing it has been out top most priority now.
We are working on a few amazing products but are getting delayed a lot.
And then me, who was supposed to give confirmation of "Good to go" for manufacturer, I missed and they follow led up after 3 weeks. Realized no manufacturing was done while we expected to receive it in next week.
You want to import electronic components and your bank asks you the reason for import 🤦🤦
So imma be very honest Dear Sir/Madam...
Fun things about building hardware.
Companies especially Founders are not training their Business development/sales people in the right direction.
This is what happened with not just 1, but 3 companies who approached me.
Same story from another founder too.
They make similar products like ours and asked can we host their products on our website.
I am like, why would I do that?!
I asked them the same question, will you host our products on your website. Blank answer.
This is the problem.
Founders are not teaching and guiding their team in right direction.
Who they need to approach and who are their right customers.
They try to sell similar products to companies who make similar stuff because they have been told to make calls.
They are fixed on targets and call a list of people.
No prior market research understanding.
We demo'ed this drone everywhere we possibly could in the last one month.
Delhi(couldn't fly), Bangalore(we flew it indoors, video in the comments) and then in Hyderabad.
One amazing feedback or comment we got was,
"This drone feels like DJI.
Rock solid stability, responsive and well tuned".
This is what we strive for!
How many of you are interested in getting a drone platform like this? A complete drone kit(excluding radio controller and any payloads).
Comment below. We may plan to put it up on the website.
Hyderabad trip has come to an end!
It was amazing!
Lot of lessons learnt.
There are really good companies working on cool stuff who also liked our products.
Now back to the cave building what the users want.
A lot of cool stuff is in development. Hope to share some more soon!
We are done with Delhi Expo and demos, done with Mumbai demos, then we are done with Bangalore Expo and now we are on the way to Hyderabad demos. We will be there in Hyderabad almost the whole week!
We are scheduled to do demos for the next 2 days.
I used to do Roadshows in the US demonstrating industrial robots and cobots.
And now it's all about drones!
More cities to come!
What will be next?
The drone is so easy to fly.
Completely stable even without GPS/GNSS.
Thanks to Agam FloRange Sensor which has Optical Flow sensor and TOF sensor integrated which makes drones easy to fly.
A fruitful day. Laksh earned the @AgamRobotics AutoPilot by demonstrating his work. @karthikRanga92 handed over the module after reviewing
his progress and pushed him with the next set of challenges.
A throwback to my first FPV drone from 2017 which had flown in the streets of New York City!
I built this drone from the first payment of my on-campus job at NYU and used my old camera from 2014.
Fun fact: Many in the FPV world will lose their first drone in crashes, broken, lost in the woods or water bodies, etc. I still have this with me intact. It has survived so much bashing and abuse.
Now it's Solar.
Next would be drones.
If they do it, 80% of the drone sector would be closed.
This is why we need to be self-reliant.
We @AgamRobotics are focused on being self-reliant.
Bangalore Drone Expo was so overwhelming that I still haven't come out of it!
The crowd, questions, conversations, discussions, sales, myths and breaking those(like are we really making it in India? Yes, that was the question!), enquires, etc was wild.
As few visitors resonated, we felt there were many companies selling Chinese parts and drones and few did indigenous. Surprisingly there were few stalls put up by Chinese companies themselves. Not sure how that was even allowed.
Nevertheless we got a good amount of visibility, many didn't know us and got to know what we do.
Had a few of my followers from here visiting our stalls as well and was happy when they said they were inspired by what we do.
Excited about what comes next!
Oh wait, components shortages! That's what is coming next! We have a lot of work to do. Bye.
We met a few of our existing customers who visited our stall at Drone Expo.
It was quite overwhelming to hear from them that Agam Autopilot and other products are working wonderfully for them and they are excited to see all our future products.
We will again be there in the Drone Expo happening at BIEC this week!
Do visit our stall and look at all the products.
This drone kit stole the show at Drone Expo!
Almost complete drone kit platform which can get you started much quicker than anything else.
Everyone who visited our stall said the drone is really unique with prop gaurds and nothing compared to the ones in the market.
This is a platform for training, research, quick deployment for specific applications, or just for recreational purposes.
