10 years. Consistent account maintenance.
The result? A message from Standard Chartered Bank informing me that my account will be closed due to a "strategic realignment."
Very disappointing experience from a bank I trusted for a decade.

Okay, let me make it as clear as possible. Firstly, the legalities of his action can only be tested at an ICC bowling action testing Centre.
Secondly, there is a 15° rule under which a bowler needs to keep his elbow and straighten it and to judge if a bowler is bowling within that 15° mark by the onfield Umpire is impossible.
The only solution to that is having a real time in competition testing tool.
The above is a grey area and to accuse someone for utilising the grey area is wrong.
Finally, if the pause at the crease is legal or not, and that’s where I believe that it is entirely legal because that is his regular action. #UsmanTariq

As received in Apartment WhatsApp Group ...👌👌👌
I live in a Bengaluru apartment.
The guy in the flat above mine keeps pacing around 1 AM every night.
Heavy footsteps. Daily.
I’d had enough.
One night, I took the lift up, ready to give him a proper piece of my mind.
Before I could even knock, the door opened.
He was holding a crying baby.
The flat was almost empty.
No sofa. No dining table.
Just a mattress on the floor and a few cardboard boxes.
He looked completely drained.
“I’m really sorry,” he said softly.
“I walk him to sleep.
The floor makes noise. I know it’s disturbing.”
I glanced around. “Where’s your furniture?”
“Bed bugs in the previous place,” he replied.
“Had to throw everything away.
We just shifted.
Still saving up for a crib.”
Just like that, my anger disappeared.
“Wait here,” I said.
I went down and carried up my old rocking chair...the one sitting uselessly on my balcony.
“Sit,” I told him.
“Rocking is quieter than walking.”
He sat.
The baby calmed down in minutes.
The next morning, I posted on our apartment WhatsApp group:
“New family in 131 needs a fresh start.
If anyone has spare furniture or baby stuff, please help.”
By lunchtime, Bengaluru had done what Bengaluru does best.
A crib. A sofa. A small dining table. Clothes. Home-cooked food.
Even a pressure cooker.
Tonight, there was no stomping.
Just a soft knock on my door.
“We slept for six hours,” he said, smiling.
“Thank you.”
Sometimes noise isn’t bad behaviour.
It’s a bad phase.
Judge less.
Ask more.
Angel Di Maria🎙️:I run with my grandfather’s lost legs, my father’s broken knees, and their dreams they couldn’t live. Every step is their sacrifice, their love. Football is our family’s dream, and I’m blessed to live it.❤️
🚨🎙️| Laporta speaking on the recent Negreira accusations and Real Madrid: "This is getting out of hand. I have to say that this level that we have reached also generates envy, and that this is very poorly managed by those who, using bad arts, skip all codes of conduct, ethical and moral, and not only in sports.
I guess you know who I'm referring to: those who are the architects of permanent smear campaigns against our shield and our essences. And we're not going to allow this. They are the same ones who confuse power with unenlightened despotism; those who practice cynicism and disproportionate arrogance; those who have a television channel from which they vomit lies and intoxicate constantly and permanently. I wanted to vent a little.
We are strong again, both on and off the pitch, while they try to distort our image and even dare to erase our history and claim it as their own. They will not succeed; we are building a glorious era, we will reach the pinnacle of success again, and this will be thanks primarily to you.” [@diarioas] #fcblive 💣👀
🚨 “How many World Cup did Argentina win before Leo Messi?” Cristiano Ronaldo asked this question in an interview with Piers Morgan last month! 🇦🇷👀👉
But the fact is, history alone doesn’t win World Cups — recent performances do!
🇮🇹 Italy, a four-time World Cup champion, failed to qualify for the last two editions of the tournament!
🇩🇪 Germany, also a four-time winner, couldn’t make it past the group stage in the last two World Cups!
🇺🇾 Uruguay, despite its proud status as a two-time champion, hasn’t lifted the trophy since 1950! It’s been 75 years!
These examples make one thing clear; past glory doesn’t guarantee present success! That’s why Ronaldo’s illogical statement misses the point entirely! ❌
Historical trophies don’t influence modern results, and even Argentina went 36 years without a World Cup before Lionel Messi led them back to the top! 🇦🇷🏆
In today’s football, it’s not about what a nation achieved decades ago — it’s about who steps up when it matters most! And obviously Leo Messi stepped up for his country in Qatar! 🐐✅
🚨🗣️ Didier Drogba (Chelsea & Ivory Coast Legend) :
“When Messi, I and some of the players did an ad for a beverage company before the 2010 World Cup, Messi met some people in a remote village in the African forest , played football with them, but in the end he said to me in a serious tone, "Didier, do you see that these people drink dirty water while we play for millions of euros?" The next day I heard from the company director that Messi donated his entire share of the ad to dig wells for the village and build a good hospital, school, playground and other things.
The best thing is that he insisted on not mentioning his name in this donation. Six months later, Messi sent a doctor, an accountant and an engineer to the village to make sure that the money reached its owners and that the projects were actually built. Do you know the phrase that is still embedded in my mind to this day? On the plane back to South Africa, I asked him, "Why all this secrecy?" He gave me an answer I will never forget: "Because Africa doesn't need ads, it needs actions. And real actions don't need testimonials!" Messi's greatest goals were not scored in the goal, but in the hearts of those who do not know football! And whoever knows football will know that Messi is the best player in the history of football."
