Do you think we should release this soon? I’m still hesitating about the color.

[Drice @driceroland]

@jackfriks Jack, we're working on something so much better at https://t.co/dAPkvAxFpu! The object is in stainless steel and with better app experience! Also working on new features!

I should have sent you a prototype during the beta but unfortunately we don’t have any left!

I recently blocked some of my apps for 51 hours, it felt amazing

Just posted this on Instagram, let’s see how it performs!

We spent the afternoon filming new stuff for Norma. Not bad for a three-person team. More content to come!

[Drice @driceroland]

Today we’re launching Norma.

A small stainless steel object that blocks distracting apps when you scan it.

I built it because every screen time tool I tried was too easy to disable.

Making the action physical changes everything.

Introducing Norma.

A physical blocker for distracting apps.

Scan the object → selected apps get blocked.
Scan again → they come back.

Just a small stainless steel object that helps you focus.

About 7 months ago, we began a project, Norma.

It's a small physical object that lets you block selected apps with a simple scan.

And it's not a new idea.
There are already many projects trying to solve the same problem.

But we wanted to make one that felt different.
Not just another productivity tool, but something you’d actually want to keep near you.
Something simple and beautiful.
Stainless steel. A clean shape. And an app that feels as clear as possible.

Getting here took longer than we thought.
Factories, customs, beta testing, company stuff, delays, small problems turning into big ones.

A few times, we could have launched earlier.
But every time, it didn’t feel ready yet.

So we kept going.
Fixing things, changing details, order new prototypes, starting some parts over, refining everything again and again.

We put a lot of heart into this project.
And now, finally, we’re almost there.
