#BREAKING: The University of Southern Mississippi, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Troy University, and Georgia Southern University of the Sun Belt, as well as Tulane University, University of Memphis, University of South Florida, and East Carolina University of the American, and Jacksonville State Gamecocks of Conference USA, have announced a partnership for a new college sports conference.
Name yet to be determined.
The schools say they yearn for a regional conference with historical relevancy and closer trips.
The 9 School-Conference says they hope to add 5 more teams in the future to create 7-Team East/West Divisions that will play for a Conference Championship. The teams will play an 8-game conference schedule pending addition of more teams.
