Alephium Avenue Update 🏡

Just in from ecosystem builder @iWalkingCat / @CatCorpGames, a round of updates to the new Monopoly-inspired game built right here on Alephium.

🎨 Frontend
- Improved and optimized the lighting, colors, and 3D scene rendering.
- Put significant work into the game logs to make them much clearer and easier to read.

🚂 Smart Contracts
- Improved the bankruptcy process: you can now sell up to 8 cities in a single transaction to repay your debt. Previously, only 1 city per transaction could be sold.

🎮 Gameplay
- Rebalanced the in-game economy: property rent has been slightly increased, making matches a bit faster and placing a stronger emphasis on strategy.

👀 Other
- Currently working on the project’s social media and a Telegram community where players will be able to find opponents to play with. (And there’s something even more interesting hidden behind that.)

Testing and improvements are continuing actively.

March to Mainnet 03/07 🏃

The core development team has reached a meaningful milestone in the Powfi smart contract audit process, while the broader tech stack has received a round of security, stability, and infrastructure upgrades.

Here is this week’s dev report:

<Powfi>

💥 The core development team has completed its audit of all Powfi smart contracts.
💥 Following multiple rounds of review, feedback, and iterative improvements, all identified issues have been resolved.
💥 The team will now redeploy to testnet for a final round of internal testing prior to mainnet deployment.
💥 This testing phase will verify that every feature and function performs as intended across the full scope of the protocol, including pool creation, liquidity provision, swaps, fee calculation, and the referral system.

<Bridge>

↔️ The external audit is progressing, with the first round of reviews complete.
↔️ Auditors are now doing a second round of reviews.

<Frontend>

🖥️ Desktop wallet security has been strengthened by restricting which external links the application is permitted to open.
🛜 A WalletConnect launch issue affecting AppImage builds has been resolved.
🔢 The display of low-value token prices, particularly those below one cent, has been improved for greater accuracy.
📲 Amount display formatting and modal spacing in the mobile wallet have been tidied up.
🔎 Additional validation and test coverage has been added around wallet hashing and desktop deep-link handling.

<Backend>

⬆️ Released v4.5.5 of the Alephium core chain.
⬆️ Backend dependencies for the Explorer have been upgraded, and the internal actor infrastructure has been migrated to Apache Pekko.
⬆️ Market data handling has been improved, with the Market Service expiration window extended to reduce unnecessary API refresh cycles.
⬆️ WebSocket support is currently under active development

<Full Node>

💡 Alephium's internal actor and networking foundation has been migrated from Akka to Apache Pekko, keeping the node stack current and well-maintained for the long term.

Powfi completing its internal audit cycle is a moment the team has been building toward for some time. With final testnet deployment now underway, the path to mainnet launch is clear.

Powfi is taking its last steps before mainnet launch, bridge remediation is advancing steadily on both technical and legal tracks, and the wallet suite has received a fresh round of hardening and bug fixes.

Here is this week’s breakdown:

<Bridge>

🔀 Ongoing third-party audit of the exploited bridge component.
🔀 Infomed by the prosecutor's office that the cyber investigation division has officially been mandated to our case.
🔀 Deployed a clearer, more user-friendly 503 error page for the bridge.

<Powfi>

💥 Completed all three rounds of internal auditing.
💥 Initiated the final round of internal battle testing ahead of the mainnet release.

<Wallets>

✅ Reduced JS bundle sizes for both desktop and mobile wallets to improve performance.
✅ Fixed token price displays for assets valued under $0.01 across desktop and mobile.
✅ Resolved bottom modal header button alignment issues in the mobile wallet.
✅ Fixed Linux AppImage deep-linking functionality for the desktop wallet.
✅ Conducted extensive compatibility testing on Windows and Ubuntu VMs.
✅ Hardened overall security across extension, mobile, and desktop wallets.

<Frontend monorepo>
☑️ Cleaned up the repository and removed deprecated codebase.
☑️ Resolved security audit warnings for project dependencies.
☑️ Upgraded core development tooling (eslint, pnpm, turborepo, expo).
☑️ Implemented strict guards against phantom dependencies.
☑️ Integrated knip for automated dependency and dead-code auditing.
☑️ Updated electron-builder to resolve multiple legacy audit warnings.

In summary, internal auditing is complete, final battle testing is underway, and mainnet is within arm’s reach.
