Alephium Avenue Update ๐ก
Just in from ecosystem builder @iWalkingCat / @CatCorpGames, a round of updates to the new Monopoly-inspired game built right here on Alephium.
๐จ Frontend
- Improved and optimized the lighting, colors, and 3D scene rendering.
- Put significant work into the game logs to make them much clearer and easier to read.
๐ Smart Contracts
- Improved the bankruptcy process: you can now sell up to 8 cities in a single transaction to repay your debt. Previously, only 1 city per transaction could be sold.
๐ฎ Gameplay
- Rebalanced the in-game economy: property rent has been slightly increased, making matches a bit faster and placing a stronger emphasis on strategy.
๐ Other
- Currently working on the projectโs social media and a Telegram community where players will be able to find opponents to play with. (And thereโs something even more interesting hidden behind that.)
Testing and improvements are continuing actively.
Huge thanks to the community for all the valuable feedback!

@BigPepGhost explores what PoS staking participation rates suggest about community conviction.
He explains why he believes the upcoming launch of Powfi positions Alephium to close a long-standing gap for PoW.

Liquid staking on a PoW chain is an absolute gamechanger, Historically, PoW holders had to leave their capital dormant, but Powfi completely flips the script.
Unlocking this kind of utility for $ALPH holders is a massive milestone..Brilliant write up, @BigPepGhost brother โ๏ธ
๐ฒ Alephium Avenue is live! ๐ฒ
This Monopoly-style game is already on Alephium mainnet!
๐ฉ Every action is performed on-chain.
๐๏ธ All game logic and state are stored in a smart contract.
๐ฐ Most actions are gasless.
Credit to @iWalkingCat! ๐
Bitcoin proved that PoW is the most trusted consensus mechanism ever built.
Alephium then showed that you can build programmable DeFi right on top of it.
The two ideas have always been compatible ๐ค it just took the right architecture to do it.
March to Mainnet 26/06 ๐

If you want to know what's happening inside the ecosystem, this one's for you ๐
Any good security researcher should be naturally skeptical about the security provided by any vm or programming language.
However, there's more to the story than this sweeping generalisation ๐ฝ
As our community already knows, we built a VM that mitigates the vulnerabilities found in EVM smart contracts.
So, while most blockchain security is patched after exploits, Alphred, our custom VM, prevents reentrancy, unlimited token approvals, and MEV extraction at the architecture level.
It was built on our stateful UTXO model, combining Bitcoin's asset security with Ethereum's programmability.
Considering the state of DeFi right now, security-first tech and engineering definitely merit much more attention.
If you're seeing our name for the first time, or you've yet to dive into our tech offering, today is a great day to explore the docs: https://t.co/Kq00LoOSMs

ppl need non-EVM chains with smart contract languages that refuse to let devs write dangerous patterns.

or, uh, just continue experiencing exploits (pls don't do that)
