If anything, this proposal is jet fuel for founders.

16-hour workdays, no weekends, canceled my vacation with family, no salary from the raised funds. It felt deeply unfair that we are all-in on the launch, but strong price performance would have no impact on our performance package because of the 18-month cliff.

Ownership tokens represent power in the system. If I, as a founder, do not hold tokens, I have no power. But if I perform well and earn those tokens, I do want to have an impact on future proposals with my unlocked tokens. To me, that’s what being an owner means.

I currently have no intention of selling the tokens, but I should have the freedom to do so if I’ve earned them and choose to. Having that freedom is an important part of ownership and something founders deeply care about.

With Pokemon you already have a lot of players running their own FMV engines, so you can take five different FMV engines and do a weighted averaging of each to get an actual market valuation for every card. That's not the case with Hot Wheels"

"There are a couple of apps which we don't like, because we've been testing them and the results aren't that good, comparing them to our own manual estimates. So a very important thing for the secondary market and for our business is to develop a fair market valuation engine that people actually trust, because everything else on the market right now, when I talk with collectors and see people posting in Facebook groups, people aren't happy with it"
