On this day in 1886, Billy Batty was born. Billy was at @Official_STFC for 10 years after joining from Lincoln in 1912. Billy played 120 times for #STFC scoring 46 times, and was the scorer of Swindon's 1st ever Football League goal. Billy joined Barnsley in 1922.

#OnThisDay in 1912, @Official_STFC drew 2-2 with a Liga Argentina XI. Goals from Jack Burkinshaw and Sammy Lamb had put #STFC 2-1 up after the hosts had scored first. The Argentine side equalised in the 2nd half in front of a crowd of 20,000.
