Alhamdulillah, as marks the conclusion of our Ramadan palliative efforts as we have successfully distributed grains across all wards in the 11 local government areas of Katsina Central. We have engaged with the people and ensured that the grains reach those in need.

The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has graciously approved the sponsorship of 68 Indigenes of Katsina State to study Bio-Economy and Artificial Intelligence at Harbin Institute of Technology, China as part of the efforts of the State Government to harness the potentials of the young talented youth in the State.
The selected students will have the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in these cutting-edge fields. This initiative is a testament to the commitment of the State Government in promoting education and technology. The students will not only contribute to the development of Katsina State but also become ambassadors of Nigeria in the global arena. The sponsorship covers tuition fees, accommodation, and other necessary expenses for the duration of their studies.
Highlights of the 2nd @KatsinaStateNg Economic Council meeting held yesterday 4th March 2024:
- Introduction of Ministerial Briefings to assess revenue generating agencies in Katsina State to meet the IGR target for the year 2024.
- Introduction of the Local Government Development Plan across LGAs.
- Completion of the draft of the following policies ready for townhall & stakeholder engagements/inputs:
- Solid Minerals Policy ✅
- Housing Policy ✅
- ICT Policy ✅
- Industrial & Trade Policy ✅
- MSME Policy ✅
- Power & Energy Policy ✅
- SDG Policy ✅
- The Council also resolved that all the policies will have to address the barriers for the inclusion of vulnerable groups of society in the labour market in the state.
- The Council has also received the submission of the “Katsina State Data Master Plan Revolution” for review.
- Introduction of quarterly business Roundtables in Katsina for better State-Business Community coordination.
