Based on this story, I’m afraid there would be no Von Miller in today’s day of NIL. That’s no slight on Von, but he was a kid. Sherman puts real expectations on him and frustrates him, some other school offers him a huge money deal with only the expectation to “be you”, and he’s gone and never challenged. The real Von Miller never emerges. How many stars are we going to miss out on because of the mercenary culture NIL creates?

It’s not about trying to change the WNBA. It’s a statement to change the trend in ALL girls sports to allow biological men to compete in THEIR sport.

The WNBA can do whatever they want on the trans issues and don’t need protection from their own bad decisions. Our amateur teenage girls do, and I think this “demonstration of absurdity by being absurd” at a high profile professional level will help in that much more important fight.

He was drug kicking and screaming into good policy by a conservative Gingrich led Congress and buoyed by the rise of the most disruptive economic technology in 100 years in the internet. A trained chimp would have looked good. He would have been as dangerous as any other lib without those huge benefits.
