As someone who isn’t emotionally attached to Duterte as a person but a 💯 supports him politically because he re-awakened my pride in the Filipino nation, it consoles me to see that this travesty happened to him in his twilight years. Not to be cold hearted but in reality he already performed his active political role in the history of Asia and the Philippines. If he passes away in his 80s his achievements will live on in the hearts and minds of many. Plus he has already enjoyed a longer lifespan than most although I still wish for him to go home to the Philippines.

May the next populist leader rise soon to take the reins and finally liberate the Philippines from foreign intervention and oligarchic control! Only then will it have a chance to become a first world country. Duterte already helped lay the path. Go finish the unfinished revolution!

P.S. I’m not sure that Sara Duterte is the one because she defied her father by aligning with Marcos Jr. Very bad miscalculation. Second is, she married to a family well connected to Filipino oligarchs. I hope she proves me wrong.
