Hardeep Puri said that ethanol is used in racing cars as well to defend his stand on E20. This is the Petroleum Minister's understanding of the issue. What can one even say to that!
First, race cars are specifically engineered to run on ethanol; therefore, it does not harm them. This is not the same as forcing E20 into regular cars that are not engineered to handle it. In non-compliant vehicles, ethanol will aggressively degrade standard rubber gaskets, plastic parts, and aluminum components over time.
Second, a racing engine is built to survive for only a few hundred miles before being stripped down and rebuilt by professional mechanics, who easily manage any fuel-induced wear. An average citizen, however, needs their car to last for over a decade. Running non-compliant engines on E20 will certainly not help achieve that.
Third, race teams use ethanol solely for a performance boost due to its high octane rating, not for fuel economy. For regular people, however, fuel economy matters immensely.
Dear Supreme Court of India,
140 crore Indians are busy earning money and taking care of their families. They do not have the time, money or power to fight the Government. That is why people look towards the Supreme Court for justice.
Please do not wait until it is too late.
Every day E20 petrol is being promoted across the country. People are told it is completely safe. Ministers openly say, "Show me one vehicle anywhere in the world that had problems because of E20." But in the Supreme Court, the Government says E20 is still under study and the final results will come next year.
How can both be true?
If the study is not over, why is E20 being pushed on the whole country?
If everything is already proved, why tell the Supreme Court that the study is still going on?
Why are people not given the choice to buy normal petrol?
Why should 140 crore Indians become part of something that is still being studied?
The Government has all the power. People cannot leave their jobs, spend years in court and fight the Government. That is why the Supreme Court was made, to protect the common people when nobody else can.
Please ask one simple question.
If E20 is still under study, why is it being forced on the people?
Indian citizens are not for testing. Our vehicles, our hard earned money and our daily lives should not be put at risk without giving us a choice.
Vehicle buyers pay huge upfront taxes, fees, and cesses. In return, they deserve the basic right to buy the exact fuel their vehicle engines were designed to run on.
If the govt wanted to "experiment" with E20 fuel, they should have done it responsibly by either buying a sample fleet of second-hand cars to test in a controlled settings or invite willing citizens to opt-in using subsidized fuel.
Forcing a mandatory policy onto everyone first and checking if it damages their engines later is outrageous. Treating the entire public as involuntary test subjects is a massive overreach.

@zomatocare Guys when you don't have delivery partners why are you taking the order, my order is already ready at the restaurant from the last 15 mins but no one to pick up and your help chat sucks of no use.
Why vote BJP when the manifesto has no real vision—just recycled promises, delayed works, and projects from other agencies? PANCHKULA needs vision , intent of delivery, not slogans. No push towards cleanliness.

Selling ‘Sugar Free’ and then hiding behind fine print, this is straight-up misleading. In any serious country, food safety authorities would shut this down and slap thousands of crores in penalties. But in India? Everything is ‘chalta hai,’ even when it comes to what people consume.
@IndianOilcl Guys my new cylinder is having some leakage issue, I m trying your contact number from the last 3 hours but it is not working, is there any way we can raise the complaint
