I-10 Westbound is closed 5 miles from Texas state line due to a crash of commercial motor vehicles. Traffic being diverted at Exit 7 onto LA 3063. LA 12 is also available as a detour route. Motorists in this area should watch for stopped traffic and can expect significant delays.

Governor John Bel Edwards has closed all K-12 schools beginning Monday, March 16 through Monday, April 13th.
This includes Lake Charles College Prep, Lake Charles Charter Academy and

Travel gift! DOTD says all westbound lanes on I-210 will be open from today at 5 pm to Sunday, December 1st at 6 am for the holiday.
The bridge will return to one lane westbound on Sunday,

Due to a city water main issue, E.K. Key Elementary

An Army helicopter accident occurred in the JRTC and Fort Polk training area this morning. Emergency services immediately responded. Four crew members were on board; one has died and three injured. More details as they are available.

Cameron Parish School Board officials and Cameron Sheriff’s office are investigating a possible verbal threat by a student at Hackberry High. Extra deputies on scene to ensure student safety. KPLC has been told school is secure, students are safe, and there's no current threat

Due to the weather, Calcasieu Parish schools will be releasing

Major traffic headache in I-10 over the Atchafalaya Basin. State Police report a multiple vehicle crash on I-10 westbound at Whiskey Bay. Both lanes of travel are currently closed and traffic is being diverted from I-10 to LA Hwy 415 to US Hwy 190. Please avoid if possible.

Due to a power issue with Entergy, Barbe High School students will be
