Anissa Brailsford just picked up her first CCS Player of the Week award! After being named Second Team All-CCS in her freshman year, she's starting to find her footing and looking strong heading into year two.

Scotties spilt in Virginia, picking up the win over Warren Wilson this afternoon! A dominant first half and a gutsy close helped grab the first win of the season.

Happy birthday to our incredible assistant coach, @PlayersCoachD! This program is not what it is today without him as a coach, a recruiter, a leader, and a friend. We're beyond lucky to have him with us!

The last of our new player additions is Damaris Gaines! Damaris comes to Agnes as a recent graduate of Virginia State University. A great soccer player as well, Damaris is returning to basketball with a lot of experience as a college athlete. Excited to see how her strength and experience transition back to the court!

Next up, show some California Love for Lexxi Romero-Williams! Lexxi is a junior making the cross country trip to Agnes from Hayward High School, Chabot College, and Cal St. East Bay. Lexxi has a chance to be a real X factor when she returns this season and we can't wait to see what she does!

The freshmen are done, but we've got some more new faces joining the program this year. Let's start with our manager, Kamryn Hill!

Kamryn went from Agnes' #1 fan last season to joining us on the bench this season. And just wait until you see the bespoke game day fit!

You know what? Alphabetical order can be tough. And, yes, this is not in alphabetical order, but next up we've got the final member of our freshman class, Abi Pollett!

Abi joins Agnes from Alcovy High School. Abi is also playing soccer at Agnes and has two goals in the past week! We're excited to see what she can add, especially to our defense, this season!

Let's keep it rolling with Triniti Walker! Triniti joins Agnes from Carver High School. Trin is also playing volleyball for Agnes and we can't wait to see her bring her shooting and athleticism to the basketball court real soon!

Day three and we introduce Kaycie Hyde! Kaycie joins Agnes from Sunlake High School in Florida. Let's say this: if this 5'4" guard dunks by the time she graduates, we won't be surprised; she can absolutely fly.

Next up, it's Ava Hendrie! Ava comes to Agnes from Starr's Mill High School. Can Ava shoot? I don't want to ruin the surprise but, if your help leaves the corner, you'll find out.

Why is the number 3 important to our program? Simply, the class of 2026 will be our third recruiting class. This thing we're building is so new and so fresh still, and we're expecting to see it look very different this year. But the class of 2026 is going to have a chance to put this program over the top.

What makes the number 9 special to our program? When we took over two seasons ago, we took over a program with just nine players on the roster.

Today we look at 12 players, all recruited since then. We stand at the start of a new season full of opportunity.

And our camp is yet another opportunity to add to our numbers. Last year our camp saw offers given to four attendees.

We've got a handful of spots still available and if you're looking for a chance to experience life as a Scottie and an opportunity to impress, we can't wait to see you next Sunday, September 7!

So you're a high school player, you're interested, and you want to know what you can expect? A full day on the Agnes Scott campus, working with the Scotties coaching staff on the court and in the film room, t-shirt, campus tour, lunch, and a conversation with current Scotties. It's an up close look at the unique world of Agnes Scott Basketball and it's an opportunity to show us the unique person and player you are.

This week, @ascscotties and Agnes Scott Basketball were fortunate to spend some time helping out @helpingmamas. It was an eye opening experience highlighting an incredibly worthwhile organization.

Did you know that diapers and feminine hygiene products are taxed as luxury goods in Georgia? Luxury goods! As such, they're ineligible for certain financial assistance programs, making securing some of the most basic needs incredibly difficult for those who need them most. Helping Mamas fills an important need (beyond diapers and feminine hygiene products) and we cannot urge you enough to check them out and think of making a donation.
