The Delta State Government has approved the purchase of 50 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, the acquisition of electric vehicles and the construction of a mega bus terminal in Asaba to improve public transportation across the state.
The approvals, granted by the State Executive Council (EXCO) on Friday, will strengthen the MORE Mass Transit Scheme with safer, more affordable and efficient transportation, while promoting cleaner mobility through the introduction of electric vehicles.
EXCO also approved the development of a modern bus terminal in Asaba to serve as the hub of the state’s mass transit system, with a similar facility planned for Warri.
