Agora Policy, an Abuja-based think tank, says credible turnaround of Nigeria’s power sector must go beyond tariff adjustments and address deep structural weaknesses across distribution, gas supply, metering and decentralisation.
In its publication on Monday, the think tank said the current reform path, anchored largely on tariff increases for high-consuming customers and periodic debt refinancing, is insufficient to deliver an efficient electricity market.
