I am seeing lots of articles about Peterson being the #1 pick and my thoughts are until the betting markets reflect a real change, I would tend to still say AJ is the guy and will be the pick on Tuesday night.
@GregFinberg I think this is the correct take. Both guys are elite talents both have pros and both have cons. Lean toward AJ cause of the athleticism and I think more versatility than Peterson but both guys are franchise pillars for your team.
@Domo8186@DCSportsDre Great point. I love tre and do think he can be a star. I think in the end you take aj and dont look back and sure peterson could be a star too but I think aj has the extra it factor where he will make the wizards a draw
@DCSportsDre I totally agree with you there. I think both guys are insane talents but yeah I want the 6'10 guy who has some sga and Tatum abilities and while peterson sure has been compared at high end to Kobe his athletic numbers are not close to aj
Regardless of how this regional goes there needs to be massive changes to the Florida state baseball program. Need a massive upgrade in talent in the portal and thru high school and need much better assistant coaches
@DCSportsDre This is so comically stupid and I know we will get more clickbait articles like this as draft gets closer but its remarkable how the national media basically wants us to be the ernie wizards making dumb decisions when in reality we are actually run competently
@DCSportsDre Of course Ted wants this. I just am not looking forward to 6 more weeks of Jazz and Nets fan fiction about what preposterous deals they will offer to move to one. Jazz fans seem to think we will take a 2032 protected 1st to move down and the Nets dont even get me started
@DCSportsDre Also last year we wanted Ace Bailey right? So now you have the chance to take a much much better version of Ace Bailey in AJ and we are gonna pass on him to trade down for DP? Call me super skeptical on that one.
@DCSportsDre Also AJ is a better playmaker than DP. DP made not one person better on Kansas and AJ led a BYU team to the tournament and basically was a one man show and still nobody could stop him. Also fit wise AJ fits DC and DP fits Utah like a glove.
@DCSportsDre I dont hate DP at all. I think he is a great talent but AJ to me is just built for the NBA. You dont find dudes at 19 that are like 6'9 217 and have crazy measurables like him. You earned this #1 pick dont overthink this take AJ and market the hell out of him to be the guy
@DCSportsDre As I said why help out Danny Ainge? Did he help us last year when we wanted Ace? Washington is in such a good spot cause if we do get AJ, you have so much competition and now the top guys will have to rise up whether thats Kyshawn, Riley, Bilal, Watkins who knows.
@DCSportsDre I agree with that sentiment. The top 4 is pretty much separated from the rest of the draft and the top 2 in my opinion are in a class by themselves. Unless Utah is willing to overpay like nobodies business why not just stay and take the superstar scorer which we need.
@DCSportsDre I mean last year everyone knew Bailey wanted to force his way to DC and yet Utah said screw Washington we are gonna take him. So why help out Utah who really wants AJ? AJ is just such a clean fit here in DC
@DCSportsDre He also thinks he is Lebron and can probably go to the front office and say trade these guys to get friends of mine on the team. Again we get it you dont really want to be here but stay healthy and play like you can and we will gladly get you out of here
