@JonMalin It is truly sad that it has come down to it and why? Yes all industries are volatile in one way or another, to a fan base vs. a fan base, but the way things have gone down in recent years, it is just truly sad.

If I help to “make” an independent company, my competition BTW, with no relations to me, by giving them my attention/support, and “break” them by not maintaining that support, then what does it matter if they return to what they had in the first place? Am I expected to be chained for life with the responsibility to maintain other companies larger success?

But if you don’t seemingly support their companies with the same gusto of months or years past, somehow raising a glass, saying “happy birthday” or just remaining silent when others are showing kindness/respect becomes a distorted narrative of “sucking dicks and kissing ass.” and because of a perceived underdog status, they get to be the good guy.

The main goal of your comic is to make readers CARE about your characters. They have to get invested in them somehow.

Why do I relate to this super character alien ninja monster barbarian? That’s on you to tell me. Show me a reason I need to be interested and be on their side.
