A masked motorcyclist shot him while returning home, yesterday. The bullet passed through his abdomen, causing severe blood loss. He was rushed to hospital.

His family have faced ongoing threats.

His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivers a faith-inspiring address to thousands gathered at the Mubarak Mosque in Islamabad, UK for Jalsa Salana Qadian, the Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Qadian, India.

In the address, which was broadcast live to millions across the world, His Holiness spoke about the methods of attaining nearness to God, the means of advancing in spirituality and how adopting righteousness leads to material and spiritual success.

Speaking about the state of the Islamic world, His Holiness said help of God can only come when Muslims adopt righteous conduct, be truly loyal to God, serve His creation and rely on Him alone.

Almost 14,000 people attended the convention in Qadian, while more than 3,000 attended the address in person.

Including parallel conventions taking place in other countries, the total attendance was more than 40,000.
